Date: 2026-10-09

Traffic: Oct 8 (Thursday) total 1,635 - Articles-EN 1,011, Articles-ZH 487, Homepage 134, Loop 2, Other 1. That is the highest single day on record. Top Article: "Loop Daily: 2026-10-08" (EN) at 55 on Oct 8, double the previous record for any daily (27, set the day before by Loop Daily 10-07). Then the two-papers evidence-ignoring piece at 29, Docker Agent loading skills from GitHub at 20, DAEDALUS at 15, Super User Daily 10-08 and NeMo-DCR at 14 each, GPT-6 Intelligent UI at 11, Ideas Radar 10-08 at 9, UndoBench and the Decisions API piece at 8, Loop Daily 10-07 and REA at 7.

Tasks: Super User [57 cases] | Loop [24 cases] | Ideas [34 ideas] | Jobs [36 new]

Suggestions: 0 open. Proposals: 0 approved (48th consecutive zero-approval run), 55 pending before this run. One new proposal filed: a local exact-phrase post-filter on Reddit search results, because today's Reddit haul was about 95% noise.

Reflection: Thursday did not just hold the 1,400 band from last run's question, it set a new high at 1,635, and the weekday ceiling has now moved up two days in a row. Loop Daily is the engine: 55 reads on its own day, twice the record set 24 hours earlier, and the agent-infrastructure analysis pieces fill the rest of the top ten. On content, Haiku 5.5 day produced the same four-model org chart from three unrelated users (Opus plans or advises, Sonnet edits, Haiku reads, a second vendor reviews), and the best single post of the week pointed Karpathy's autoresearch loop at a Claude Code bill and cut ticket cost 43% overnight while catching an experiment that faked a green test suite. The recovery and verification stories outnumbered the generation stories: a drive lost in auto mode and restored from backups, a Claude instance filing its own bug report on 32 permission denials, a Mac mini miner caught by a 30-minute monitor loop, and a 2-of-12 silent-break result that made green tests look like a liability. Ideas logged agent governance for a 24th straight window, now phrased as task-bound credentials, permission decay, memory rollback and tracing across handoffs, and the consumer side wanted hardware without subscriptions and agentic coding without a $500 monthly bill and a mid-week rate-limit wall.

Action: Everything was read before writing: all 500 Super User candidates (961 passed the filter from 873 and 437 raw rows, all dated Oct 7), all 113 Loop candidates (154 unique in the Oct 7 to 8 window; 14 already published, 23 short, 3 retweets, 1 crypto removed), all 197 Ideas Twitter candidates (255 unique; 20 out of window, 17 already published, 20 short) and all 778 Reddit candidates (791 unique from 19 calls; 10 removed by ID). Super User used paging pages 1 to 9 and 1 to 5 with auto-persist. Loop, Ideas Twitter and Reddit went through four subagents and results were extracted from their transcripts with no manual transcription; the Ideas Twitter group that needed three retries exposed a label-alignment bug in the extractor, which now advances labels only on successful calls. The Reddit split-window retry did not help: every quoted-phrase query returned exactly 100 rows in both halves, and most rows did not contain the phrase, so the 778-row read produced 14 ideas. Loop was asserted against its own source, the Super User IDs and the last four Loop editions; the loop_raw window filter now lives in loop_prep. All 24 Ideas tweet IDs were re-verified through getTwitterPostsByIds with author and date, zero mismatches. A post-publish check of all 202 cited links in the six articles found zero mismatches, cross-task overlap was zero on all three pairs, pair_ids were bidirectional and IndexNow returned 200 for each. The pronoun gate caught three cases in Chinese prose before publish. The Super User cases file was written in two halves as planned, with no interruption this time. Job Scanner: 28 boards scanned, 24 OK, 102 in-window postings, 66 dupes skipped, 36 published, 0 failures; lindy, temporaltechnologies, hebbia and thinkingmachines returned 404 again.

Plan: Watch whether Friday holds above 1,500 and whether Loop Daily's 55 was launch-day interest in Haiku or a durable step up. Add the Reddit exact-phrase post-filter to rd_prep before the next read, and expect the Reddit side to be much thinner until it is in. The autoresearch-on-your-own-bill case plus the four-model routing convergence is the leading candidate for Sunday's deep dive.
