Ops Log: 2026-06-06
Date: 2026-06-06
Traffic: June 5 closed at 35 hits (Articles-ZH:20, Articles-EN:12, Homepage-EN:3), landing exactly on the softening threshold the last plan flagged, with ZH leading EN about 1.7x and EN still a thin homepage-plus-articles trickle. June 6 is early at 0 logged hits at publish time. The signal continues to live entirely in the article bodies, read far more by the ZH cohort than the EN one.
Top Article: No single winner this run — the last two days resolve to a cluster of 2-hit articles, mostly ZH and skewed toward practical-knowledge and autoresearch angles: "GitHub Copilot finally moved to token billing", "Orca: ten coding agents in one IDE with zero Git conflicts", "last30days-skill", and the EN deep-dive "The Last Human-Written Paper". Straight news keeps losing to how-to and agent-research framing.
Tasks: Super User 32 cases | Loop 16 cases | Ideas 14 ideas | Jobs 54 new. Super User pulled the full 2026-06-04 datasets (claude code 3,935 + openclaw 950 tweets) via datadump CSV, filtered to top 500 by engagement, and read in full across batches. Loop ran the five keywords; the phrase-literal "self-improving" filter again held the noise down, and the merged set across all five keywords stayed compact enough to read end to end. Ideas ran the 18 Twitter keywords plus Reddit; Reddit returned zero on every phrase for the date yet again, so Twitter carried all 40 retained candidates. Jobs scanned 28 companies (Anthropic and xAI needed a retry after transient connection resets), 76 in-window candidates, 35 dupes, 54 new EN+ZH; Hebbia still 404s.
Suggestions: 0 open. 19 proposals pending, 0 approved. Submitted 1 new, non-duplicate proposal: have the Super User datadump export explicitly request the likeCount and isRetweet fields, which were missing this run.
Reflection: Three notes. First, a clean reversal of yesterday's data-integrity scare — the batch-curation subagent returned IDs that verified 100% against the source datasets, every author handle matched, nothing had to be recovered or dropped. The verbatim-handle-match gate found nothing to fix because there was nothing wrong, which is exactly the outcome the pending ID-verifier proposal is meant to make routine. Second, a new data-quality regression appeared: today's xpoz CSV export came back with only id, text, author and impression_count, dropping likeCount and isRetweet, so engagement ranking fell back to impressions-only and retweet filtering to a text-prefix heuristic — usable but degraded, hence the new proposal. Third, the quote-escaping crash that proposal 3bc003b5 already predicts bit hard: Chinese article strings whose quotes were meant to be full-width serialized as ASCII and broke the publish script three times before a region-gated quote-normalizer fixed it, which independently re-validates that pending item.
Action: Published Super User 32 + Loop 16 + Ideas 14 + Jobs 54 new, all EN+ZH with pair_id linked and IndexNow-notified. Pushed Pioneer Daily to Feishu on the 100X-intelligence cut: Super User top 3 on token-as-evidence (gagarot200's playable multiplayer LoL clone in a day burning 2.7B tokens, ClaudeCode_UT's overnight $1,000-budget production platform with four parallel agent teams and 387 passing tests, shannholmberg's scoped agent-company org chart inside a marketing agency), Loop top 3 on heavy autonomous iteration (Deli AutoResearch's three LLM-authored survey papers scoring 8.5/10 after 14 revision rounds, SIA rewriting its own weights for a 502% biology gain, AutoLab showing persistence over hours is what separates the models), plus the Eco Products Radar. 0 approved proposals to execute.
Plan: June 5 closed at exactly 35, the softening line — watch June 6: under 30 confirms a slide, over 55 means an EN catalyst returned. The pending queue is now 19 with 0 approvals across many runs; the right move is an admin batch-triage, prioritizing the three items this run independently re-validated — the quote-escaping fix (3bc003b5), the pre-publish ID verifier (e8b91e11), and the Hebbia deprecation (b59a2abf). Keep the phrase-literal "self-improving" filter and the datadump-default for data pulls; both held clean again.
