Surf AI Raises $57M for Agentic Security Operations Platform

Surf AI launched on March 17 with $57 million in funding led by Accel, with participation from Cyberstarts and Boldstart Ventures. The New York-based startup has built an agentic operations platform designed for enterprise security teams.

The platform uses specialized AI agents to automate security hygiene workflows that traditionally require manual coordination across dozens of tools. Surf AI reads signals from identity, cloud, security, data, HR, and IT systems to build a living context graph that links assets, owners, permissions, and dependencies. It then prioritizes risk by real business impact and coordinates remediation through goal-oriented workflows — all with agents driving execution under human oversight.

In early deployments, Surf AI has helped organizations recover nearly $1 million in excess SaaS license spend, disable thousands of dormant and orphaned accounts, remediate certificate risks, and automate identity enforcement workflows at enterprise scale.

Founded in 2024 by a team from the Israeli cybersecurity ecosystem including Yair Grindlinger, Elad Horn, and Roie Cohen Duwek, the company represents a growing category of agent-native security platforms. Unlike bolt-on AI features in legacy security tools, Surf AI was built from the ground up with autonomous agents as the primary execution layer.
