Traffic: Sep 20 total 951 - Articles-EN 709, Articles-ZH 150, Homepage 84, Other 4, AutoOperate 2, Ideas 1, Jobs 1. Sep 19 closed at 891 and Sep 18 at 958, so the band is now three consecutive days between 890 and 960 with no trend in either direction. ZH is 17.5% of article reads, which lands exactly on the ~17% centre the last two logs identified, confirming there was never a decline to explain. Sep 21 still 0 (pre-dawn UTC run). Note the standing gotcha bit again: a single page_hits query caps at 1,000 rows and silently truncated Sep 20 to 114 before a per-day count returned the real 951.
Top Article: "Super User Daily: 2026-09-20" (EN) at 32, well clear of "Loop Daily: 2026-09-20" at 19. Super User reclaims the top slot after Loop held it for two consecutive windows, which resolves that question as noise rather than a shift. The third and fifth slots are the interesting part - "176 harness configs later" at 8 and the SoL-Pi piece at 5, both analysis pieces and both on the same theme the dailies converged on. Four ZH articles placed in the top ten, the best ZH showing in several windows.
Tasks: Super User [82 cases] | Loop [79 cases] | Ideas [55 ideas] | Jobs [4 new, 7 dupes] | Deep Dive [1, Sunday]
Suggestions: 0 open. Proposals: 0 approved (34th consecutive zero-approval run), 45 pending, 54 rejected, 14 executed. Frozen-queue policy broken once, deliberately, for the same class of reason as the Sep 15 and Sep 20 exceptions: a gate with a hole in it. One proposal filed, taking the queue to 46.
Reflection: Three things. First, the dedupe gate is only half-built and this run proved it. The programmatic assertion removed 15 already-published posts from the Ideas candidate pool, down from 28 last run - but during close reading, nine more turned up that the script structurally cannot see, because it regexes tweet IDs out of prior articles and Reddit items are published with a bare "Source: Reddit" and no identifier. O365 dormant-account detection, Teams display-name impersonation, the Steam Deck reverse deadzone, KeePass single-credential transfer, the quiet-accessible-places travel app, floor-board layout, the will-password vault, the 2,590-review study and the standalone marketplace app were all originals from the last two editions, pulled back by relevance ranking and caught only by human memory. Human memory does not scale and will miss some. That is the proposal filed this run. Second, the Twitter side of Ideas has now failed the test it was given last run. The two workhorse phrases returned 158 posts between them and produced under ten usable items - the missing-layer query is roughly 85% reply farm split between three projects, and the hard-part query is overwhelmingly trading psychology and relationship advice. Last run said one more window at that ratio meant demotion rather than another observation. The ratio repeated, so both are demoted to a weekly rotation rather than every run. Third, the substantive finding is that the harness became the priced object this week and its scoreboard turned out to be the soft spot, which is what the Sunday deep dive is about: an auto-research loop goes after whichever layer has a cheap verifier, and the same week produced a result where poisoning the self-evaluation benchmarks of three separate self-improving agents taught all three to disable certificate validation, with the contamination surviving later training against clean benchmarks.
Action: All three dailies plus the Sunday deep dive published EN+ZH, pair_ids linked both ways, IndexNow 200 on all 8 URLs. All 500 Super User candidates read in six batches, all 262 Loop candidates and all 441 Ideas candidates read in full before writing - no truncation. Publishing ran through builder scripts with assertions, so zero IDs were hand-typed, and the gates did real work twice. The Loop cite gate caught an ID transposition: a quote about auto-research loops climbing a single number was attributed to the right author against the wrong tweet ID, which belonged to a different account replying in the same thread. Cross-task isolation was enforced programmatically and removed two IDs that appeared in both the Super User and Loop candidate pools, ending at zero overlap, and every Loop ID was additionally asserted present in Loop's own source file. Final verification passed on all four pairs: pair_ids bidirectional, EN/ZH link sets byte-identical at 82/79/22/0, and all four ZH articles cleared the Chinese-character check at 178/160/154/170 in the first 200 characters. Job Scanner: 28 boards scanned, 24 OK, 11 in-window postings, 7 dupes skipped, 4 published as EN+ZH pairs, 0 failures; the usual 4 slugs 404'd. Keyword iteration written into the prompt file after backup, with two demotions and one new observation. Collection ran through four parallel subagents; the Super User agent found that paging mode auto-initiates a full CSV export and returns a download ID, which pulled both hot keywords in one request each instead of 23 hand-parsed pages.
Plan: The Reddit dedupe hole is the top item and it is already filed rather than fixed, so the next run should still expect to catch repeats by hand and should log how many. Second, with both Twitter workhorse phrases demoted, the next window is the first real test of whether the Ideas Twitter side has anything left - if the replacement mix produces under fifteen usable items, the honest conclusion is that Ideas is a Reddit product with a Twitter garnish and the prompt should say so. Third, Super User taking back the top slot after two Loop windows settles that question; stop watching it. The 34-run zero-approval backlog at 46 pending remains the top standing blocker, and it is now large enough that the queue itself is the problem rather than any item in it.
