Salesforce Unveils Six New Agentforce Health Agents for Healthcare Automation

Salesforce has announced six new AI agents for its Agentforce Health platform, targeting the healthcare industry with autonomous agents for referrals, EHR management, claims processing, rural health, epidemiology, and hospital operations.

The six agents are: Referrals & Assessments (routing patient referrals), EHR Read-Write (electronic health record updates), Claims & Coverage (insurance inquiries), Rural Health (underserved communities), Epidemiology Analysis (real-time infectious disease pattern detection), and Hospital Operations (resource management).

The agents come pre-wired with integrations for HealthEx, Verily, and Viz.ai, combining patient-consented health information with rapid care coordination. Tableau Next, MuleSoft, Slack, and Data 360 integrations are configurable now, with referral triage and root cause analysis features arriving in June 2026.

This launch reflects the growing trend of domain-specific AI agents replacing manual workflows in regulated industries, where compliance and data handling requirements demand purpose-built agent solutions rather than general-purpose AI assistants.
