Microsoft Launches Agent 365: Enterprise Control Plane for AI Agents

Microsoft has announced Agent 365, a centralized control plane for managing AI agents across enterprises. Priced at $15 per user per month, Agent 365 enables organizations to deploy, organize, and govern agents at scale with integrated identity, compliance, and security from Microsoft Entra and Defender.

The product provides unified observability through dashboards and alerts, serving as what Microsoft calls the "control plane for agents" — a system for IT, security, and business teams to observe, govern, and secure AI agents operating inside organizations. It also comes bundled in the $99/user/month Microsoft 365 Enterprise 7 license alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot and advanced security features.

Microsoft's move comes as 85% of enterprises report wanting to become agentic within three years, yet 76% admit their operations can't support it. Agent 365 is designed to bridge that gap by providing the governance infrastructure needed for safe agent deployment. General availability is set for May 1, 2026.
