Super User Daily: July 28, 2026

Two forces defined today. First, memory: the sharpest users have stopped treating Claude Code as a goldfish and started wiring it into Obsidian vaults, local knowledge graphs, and SQLite databases that survive between sessions, so the agent walks into every task already knowing your last ten projects. Second, cost: the five-hour window and daily caps have become the number-one complaint, and instead of paying more, people are routing across free-tier keys, bolting on model-fallback proxies, and cancelling $200 subscriptions for a used GPU running a local model. Running through everything is a blunt new reflex: "I cancelled the SaaS and rebuilt it myself" — WeTransfer, Bitly, Tradezella, Higgsfield, all replaced in an afternoon of prompting. And the non-coding work keeps expanding: trading bots grown from pocket change, video pipelines that fire an editor, SEO audit farms, gesture-controlled live visuals booking five figures a night. Here is what people actually did.
@ClaudeCode_UT [Claude Code]
Claude Code#1
https://x.com/ClaudeCode_UT/status/2081363936570708048
Report of an 18-year-old student who built a trading bot with Claude Code starting from just $68, reportedly making $8,400 profit on the first night and accumulating $218,000 total. The bot continuously scans 60+ markets, syncs BTC price data in real time, and finds price discrepancies between markets to trade. Framed as an example of a solo person building an institutional-grade monitoring network by describing it in natural language rather than writing code.
@ryoma_nakajima [Claude Code]
Claude Code#2
https://x.com/ryoma_nakajima/status/2081339289137549422
Pre-release of Akari Video, an open-source (MIT) AI-native video editing tool built heavily using Claude Code and Codex harnesses. Claims potential to automate up to 80% of video editing, and goes beyond editing to automate general SNS marketing: market research, planning, posting, and analytics. The creator is releasing features gradually.
@alextalksai [Claude Code]
Claude Code#3
https://x.com/alextalksai/status/2081315329003667929
Describes text-to-cad, an open-source harness that turns Claude Code/Codex into a CAD engineer driven by natural language. It exports STEP, STL, DXF, GLB, 3MF, generates URDF robot descriptions, cuts G-code, and sends jobs to a Bambu Lab printer fully offline with no backend. A demo generated a complete 7-DOF robotic arm with working kinematics and a custom GUI almost entirely through prompts.
@levelsio [Claude Code]
Claude Code#4
https://x.com/levelsio/status/2081454749237256564
levelsio recounts his girlfriend building an entire app locally in Claude Cowork without asking him anything, then wanting to put it online. He helped her install Claude Code and told her to ask it; Claude Code deployed the app on Netlify with Supabase without her knowing anything about deployment and without his help. All she did was give Claude Code her Netlify API key.
@risu_aiafi [Claude Code]
Claude Code#5
https://x.com/risu_aiafi/status/2081303514978873503
A user automates Rakuten affiliate marketing with Claude Code, making around 400,000 yen per month. The setup uses four AI 'employees' inside Claude Code handling the pipeline: offer research, drafting comparison articles, and scheduling X announcement posts. They report spending very little manual effort.
@chesny [Claude Code]
Claude Code#6
https://x.com/chesny/status/2081399771424530575
A user hit the Claude usage limit every single day and was about to pay $200 for Max, then found an 18-minute video. The core insight described: you are not paying for answers but for Claude re-reading your whole codebase dozens of times, with 98.5% of tokens wasted. After applying the tips, token usage reportedly dropped ~90%, reframing the problem from Anthropic being greedy to how they were using Claude Code.
@levelsio [Claude Code]
Claude Code#7
https://x.com/levelsio/status/2081446515080417375
levelsio observes his girlfriend stopped using most SaaS and now just asks Claude or ChatGPT for what she needs, and even builds her own apps with Claude Code to solve her own problems without commercializing them. He frames this as the highly personalized, ephemeral interfaces AI was predicted to generate on the fly for ordinary users' problems.
@chenchengpro [Claude Code]
Claude Code#8
https://x.com/chenchengpro/status/2081339012632215684
A detailed technical investigation verifying Anthropic's claim of deleting 80% of Claude Code's system prompt. The user pointed the CLI at a local server that returns 400 to capture what is actually sent, measuring character counts across Opus versions (4.7, 4.8, 5) and finding the deletion happened in 4.8, not 5. They document exactly which policy sections were removed, the hardcoded substring model-id matching that routes old vs new prompts, the CLAUDE_CODE_SIMPLE_SYSTEM_PROMPT flag, and that unrecognized model ids or Bedrock/Vertex providers fall back to the old 15K prompt.
@laoyingkhq [OpenClaw]
OpenClaw#9
https://x.com/laoyingkhq/status/2081304165993632136
A user built a 5-minute-interval BTC trading bot with OpenClaw, growing an account from $50 to $823. The bot scans the market every 5 minutes, captures short-term pricing deviations, cross-references Polymarket pricing against Binance/CoinGecko data, and auto-enters when Polymarket lags. It runs fully automated 24/7, aiming to catch the window before repricing.
@dansyu_callenge [Claude Code]
Claude Code#10
https://x.com/dansyu_callenge/status/2081484148733321355
A user used Claude Code with Opus 5 to build a 3D time-series visualization of magnitude-4+ earthquakes around Japan from 1975 to 2026. Starting as scattered points, as years advance the points accumulate into three-dimensional 'slabs' that reveal where and at what depth earthquakes concentrate.
@GOROman [Claude Code]
Claude Code#11
https://x.com/GOROman/status/2081239040863748253
A creator is building a Famicom (NES) game entirely with Claude Code and reports it is becoming quite fun, sharing gameplay under a project hashtag.
@adocomplete [Claude Code]
Claude Code#12
https://x.com/adocomplete/status/2081466451995787299
A user highlights a Claude Code Desktop app workflow: you can easily annotate and mark up your app's UI and send it directly into chat to request changes. They say it makes visual editing and giving feedback much smoother.
@jboogx_creative [Claude Code]
Claude Code#13
https://x.com/jboogx_creative/status/2081347572212580509
A creator shares a creative pipeline where images are made in MidJourney 8.1, animated in Seedance 2.0, and prompted using 'Night Shift,' a custom Claude Code system they built for creators.
@SSJTRADES [Claude Code]
Claude Code#14
https://x.com/SSJTRADES/status/2081238856544997826
A trader states you can use Claude Code to build a complete replica of Tradezella (a trading journal tool) and cancel your subscription, sharing it with an attached video as a concrete SaaS-replacement use case.
@kou_uhi [Claude Code]
Claude Code#15
https://x.com/kou_uhi/status/2081353520205398252
A user argues bespoke AI agent apps now feel boring because you can just use Codex or Claude Code, and for any specific scenario you can have them write a custom agent at almost no cost. They note their own workflow already runs several well-functioning agents, nearly all quickly built by Claude in about an hour.
@bbn_0110 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#16
https://x.com/bbn_0110/status/2081383559726789110
A user built a cute character in Blender that sits on their PC and helps with work and dances. Because it is integrated with Claude Code, the character can also perform searches for them.
@Gencoin8 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#17
https://x.com/Gencoin8/status/2081228994230296754
A user stopped paying for Higgsfield ($129/month with credit caps) and now generates Seedance 2.0 video directly from Claude Code or Codex via Monid, which charges $0.04 per 10K tokens on a pay-as-you-go basis with no monthly fee. They instruct the agent with prompts like 'make an ad video from this image' or 'generate 3 variations in this layout,' completing planning, prompting, generation, and revisions inside the agent without opening a separate video tool's dashboard.
@ClaudeCode_aca [Claude Code]
Claude Code#18
https://x.com/ClaudeCode_aca/status/2081499804832502161
Describes OpenAI's official plugin that integrates Codex into Claude Code: '/codex:review' triggers a Codex review and '/codex:rescue' hands bug investigation to Codex, both running in the background so you keep working in Claude Code. It needs no API key (just a ChatGPT subscription) and installs with one command. The suggested practical workflow is a two-stage quality check: have Codex review before a large PR while continuing your own implementation.
@RoundtableSpace [Claude Code]
Claude Code#19
https://x.com/RoundtableSpace/status/2081178939553099873
A creator pointed Claude Code directly at a local Obsidian Markdown vault of 4,000 notes accumulated over six years, turning static notes into an active AI partner. Guided by a single CLAUDE.md file, the terminal agent runs overnight to link orphaned ideas, detect contradictions between beliefs, and automatically draft essay outlines.
@eryidebiji [Claude Code]
Claude Code#20
https://x.com/eryidebiji/status/2081341708651077708
A user describes a new coding habit: create an Obsidian document and have Claude Code run a heartbeat that reads it every 5 minutes. Over hours they dump messy requirements and ideas into the doc; when Fable 5 detects new content it executes based on its own judgment without confirmation, and the user just checks results in the browser. The goal is to reduce back-and-forth communication and iterate faster when a goal is still unclear.
@n1tr0maverick [Claude Code]
Claude Code#21
https://x.com/n1tr0maverick/status/2081178981873648077
A user reports running Claude Code natively on Windows 3.51 NT, noting Opus still refuses to believe it is possible, sharing a screenshot of this unusual environment.
@RoundtableSpace [Claude Code]
Claude Code#22
https://x.com/RoundtableSpace/status/2081503578800501214
Describes a Claude Code skill that builds a handwriting-to-font pipeline by combining LLM visual segmentation with local CLI tools. Claude isolates uppercase and lowercase letters from photos (filtering out paper shadows and stray marks), hands clean coordinates to a local npm tool to assemble TrueType (.ttf) files, reviews the generated previews to fix rough curves or misaligned letters, and lets users digitize old letters from family members into installable fonts.
@sudoingX [OpenClaw]
OpenClaw#23
https://x.com/sudoingX/status/2081453712149721457
A user declares Hermes Agent the best autonomous agent harness, based on having run the alternatives. Their concrete comparison: Hermes drives a tiny local model through a full agentic loop cleanly, exactly where bloated harnesses like OpenClaw cannot even find the local endpoint and die at the door. Presented as a firsthand complaint about OpenClaw's inability to work with local model endpoints.
@earcos [Claude Code]
Claude Code#24
https://x.com/earcos/status/2081407945376403806
A user who constantly exceeded WeTransfer's free tier (and found the paid 23 euro/month plan and Swisstransfer unsatisfactory) built their own WeTransfer replacement with Claude Code. It generates unique download/preview links with 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day TTLs and optional password protection, stores files on Cloudflare R2 with global replication, and has a backend panel showing per-link download counts, file management, and full history. Estimated monthly R2 cost is only 30-50 cents.
@zebusinessweb [Claude Code]
Claude Code#25
https://x.com/zebusinessweb/status/2081387252974866523
A user built a website for their agency with Claude Code in 1 hour 12 minutes, relaxing in front of the TV, needing only 3-4 back-and-forths before it was live. They contrast this with web agencies charging a minimum of ~1000 for such work a couple years ago.
@steipete [OpenClaw]
OpenClaw#26
https://x.com/steipete/status/2081169376317932017
steipete shares a concrete orchestration prompt for running a full end-to-end QA test of OpenClaw with live API keys: use 12 subagents to split up functionality, spin up dev gateways on different ports, use some for stress testing, use worktrees, and autonomously create PRs. It sets a goal of finding 200 bugs, fixing root causes with no band-aids (refactors allowed unless they touch the plugin SDK boundary), and keeping a continuously updated markdown test report.
@SingularitySoci [Claude Code]
Claude Code#27
https://x.com/SingularitySoci/status/2081479125236421106
A two-person team member describes how they went from reviewing PRs in airports to often merging without reading diffs and rarely manually testing, without accidents. The key: implementation is done by Claude Code and review by Codex, since using different models for writing and reading catches most issues. They also extracted rules into pure functions with 3,373 test cases, enforce ESLint (60-line function limit, no 'any', mandatory test assertions), and run CI on mac/Linux/Windows, noting AI writers never complain about strict settings that humans would resist.
@SuguruKun_ai [Claude Code]
Claude Code#28
https://x.com/SuguruKun_ai/status/2081243105634988056
A user praises the Hyperresearch agent skill that strengthens Claude Code/Codex research, and reports actually running it fully. It turns Claude Code into a 16-step adversarial research factory: mapping contradictions between collected sources, having the AI self-ask what sources would overturn a conclusion and do additional research, having 4 critic agents (counter-evidence, depth, breadth, instruction-drift) attack the draft in parallel, and auditing before shipping whether citations truly support the text. Noted as MIT-licensed with 1,100+ GitHub stars.
@masahirochaen [Claude Code]
Claude Code#29
https://x.com/masahirochaen/status/2081293459223101781
A user reviews Claude Opus 5 through Claude Code, saying it feels roughly Fable-5 class for everyday use and handled all of their video editing well. As a test, a single one-line instruction produced a Pokemon-style game that Opus 5 completed in one shot, passing 65 of its own test items. They cite benchmark improvements and the point that Anthropic deleted 80%+ of Claude Code's system prompt without its internal coding evals dropping.
@EXM7777 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#30
https://x.com/EXM7777/status/2081396624992219647
A community operator says they generated over $250,000 from Claude Code by selling software/agent access rather than stale courses or PDFs. Their blueprint: build the member-facing web apps and community AI agents in Claude Code, push content updates from the terminal, and run the finances through a CLI. Everything (app deploys, pricing, checkout links, fund moves) runs through Whop from the same terminal session.
@dutradotdev [Claude Code]
Claude Code#31
https://x.com/dutradotdev/status/2081167729185472686
A user shares practical Claude Code tips from daily use: /insights generates an HTML report on how you use it and missed workflow improvements; run /clear after each task to cut token consumption; you can run multiple Claude accounts with separate startup commands and UIs; use /loop to check Jira every 5 minutes and spawn subagents with worktree isolation for new to-do tasks; use CC hooks (e.g. run lint on tool use) to maintain code quality; and have Claude self-verify via Claude in Chrome for web or Argent for mobile apps.
@jackjackatx [Claude Code]
Claude Code#32
https://x.com/jackjackatx/status/2081422482465046900
A user on the $100 Claude Code Max plan ran a game build across three 5-hour windows (~$600 in tokens if paid out-of-sub) using mattshumer's prompt, totaling about 6.5 hours of Opus 5 work. To cope with usage limits, they had it write progress to memory as it neared each limit and resume from memory on a fresh window. They found the result imperfect but impressive and see how it could be polished further on the $200 plan.
@CycleDecoded [Claude Code]
Claude Code#33
https://x.com/CycleDecoded/status/2081376977320358030
Describes the open-source book-to-skill tool, which slices and layers PDF/EPUB technical books into a ~3K-token overview file plus on-demand per-chapter files (~1K tokens each), converting them into Agent Skills for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, and Amp. The two-layer architecture lets the agent precisely locate chapters instead of scanning the whole book, claiming 20-50x token savings, with local-only parsing for privacy and Docling support to preserve code blocks and tables. After running, you invoke the book in Claude Code via /your-book-slug.
@TaobaoVoid [Claude Code]
Claude Code#34
https://x.com/TaobaoVoid/status/2081325409493479759
A user notes that Claude Code and Cursor accumulate large caches on Mac, and after running the Mole utility they recovered a surprising amount of disk space, recommending it as a handy cleanup tool.
@QCXINT_ [Claude Code]
Claude Code#35
https://x.com/QCXINT_/status/2081454076404080657
Describes 'Everything Claude Code' (ECC) by Affan Mustafa, an open-sourced Claude Code setup refined over 10 months of building real products, containing 183 skills, 48 sub-agents, and 79 commands. It aims to turn Claude into an entire AI development team with specialized agents (security scanning, context/memory optimization, agents that learn your coding style across sessions). It was reportedly used to build a startup prototype in just 8 hours, winning the Grand Prize at Anthropic's Hackathon.
@toshimaru_e [Claude Code]
Claude Code#36
https://x.com/toshimaru_e/status/2081245332957217092
A user noticed Claude Code's responses became unusually prose-heavy recently and suspects it is due to the 'Lean Prompt,' saying they will try adjusting it via the output-style setting.
@XFreeze [Claude Code]
Claude Code#37
https://x.com/XFreeze/status/2081435248244719990
A user details frustration with Claude Code's five-hour usage limit while comparing it to Grok Build. They describe being deep in a serious project with several sub-agents exploring the codebase, implementing features, and running tests in parallel, then hitting the limit mid-job: agents get cut off, tasks left half-finished, and the coordinated workflow collapses, forcing manual inspection and cleanup afterward. They argue this defeats the purpose of autonomous sub-agents, whereas Grok Build's flexible weekly pool lets long sessions run to completion.
@tyhho0 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#38
https://x.com/tyhho0/status/2081313323560382922
A developer built an IDE that manages thousands of stateful Claude Code sessions each working on something, designed to fit existing workflows without orchestration overhead. Features include one-click switching between subscriptions to resume a session when rate limits are hit, automatic resumption of all sessions in the same state when reopening a project folder after shutdown, and configurable multi-pane layouts for vertical monitors.
@DylanOlivaGrows [Claude Code]
Claude Code#39
https://x.com/DylanOlivaGrows/status/2081419729525190788
An SEO consultant lists Claude Code as one of their top tools for ranking clients on Google. They use it to produce the work that used to eat whole days (location page drafts, GBP profile updates, onboarding docs, audit write-ups) via automations they built once and reuse on every client, while still reading everything before it ships.
@Nag1ovo [Claude Code]
Claude Code#40
https://x.com/Nag1ovo/status/2081360188909486243
A user with Claude 20x Max access shares practical scenarios: use Fable 5 to optimize all their projects; use Fable/Opus 5 to call Codex CLI to quickly make small quality-of-life tools; and dispatch an Opus 5 sub-agent to read through all local Claude Code and Codex conversation logs to identify thinking patterns that could improve their own usage.
@JamesonCamp [Claude Code]
Claude Code#41
https://x.com/JamesonCamp/status/2081467776678633558
A newsletter operator who built two newsletters to 30,000+ subscribers and seven figures each shares that hyper-segmentation (running 200+ segments with different lead magnets per content type) used to be brutal but is now roughly 100x easier to set up with Claude Code, feeding into their signup and nurture funnel.
@majidmanzarpour [Claude Code]
Claude Code#42
https://x.com/majidmanzarpour/status/2081342998831378739
A creator shares the detailed Claude Code prompt they used to build a single-file Three.js diorama of an ultra-detailed cherry blossom bonsai in a tokonoma alcove with museum lighting and restrained Japanese UI. They note it took a few rounds of iteration (not one shot) but the initial prompt got 90% correct. The prompt specifies hard constraints (one HTML file, no build step, zero external assets), botanically accurate tree modeling, macro optics, minimal UI, and self-validation steps like a static GLSL pass and headless draw-call counting.
@brivael [Claude Code]
Claude Code#43
https://x.com/brivael/status/2081413747227115549
A team at Argil churned entirely from Claude Code to Grok Build, citing speed as the deciding advantage and complaining about Claude Code's interminable ~5-minute waits. They report Grok 4.5 is extremely strong on coding tasks and that the harness for their upcoming video agent product already runs on it, calling the responsiveness a total game changer.
@SEOTigerJP [Claude Code]
Claude Code#44
https://x.com/SEOTigerJP/status/2081335447712850286
A user built a website with Claude Code in about 30 minutes that they estimate would have cost around 3 million yen to quote out, on the theme of automating customer acquisition with AI, and invites people to visit it.
@DanielGlejzner [OpenClaw]
OpenClaw#45
https://x.com/DanielGlejzner/status/2081352702173253972
A developer spent time inside the OpenClaw codebase and reports roughly 9,000 files, thousands of dependencies, and hundreds of thousands of lines of code. They frame it as what happens when agents write agents faster than humans can review, calling one of the fastest-growing GitHub projects also one of the clearest warnings about AI-assisted development at hyperspeed, arguing no serious engineering org would accept that rate of uncontrolled complexity.
@tenobrus [Claude Code]
Claude Code#46
https://x.com/tenobrus/status/2081517854302851444
A user gives a detailed firsthand account that agent teams now genuinely work in the Fable 5 + Opus 5 + Sol xhigh world: you can throw very large tasks at teams of 10+ agents that coordinate, split work, communicate with orchestrators, leave structured traces, and use branches/worktrees to avoid clobbering each other, with no scaffolding beyond what Claude Code and Codex natively provide. They contrast this with Opus 4.5, where coordination overhead was 'complete psychosis,' and warn you now need to align tightly upfront since the models generate huge architectures that are costly to steer if built on wrong assumptions.
@MichLieben [Claude Code]
Claude Code#47
https://x.com/MichLieben/status/2081406816253366752
A user reports shipping a complete cold email campaign (list, copy, upload, all of it) from Claude Code in under 30 minutes, presenting it as a concrete non-coding marketing workflow.
@_zheergen [Claude Code]
Claude Code#48
https://x.com/_zheergen/status/2081244348445040702
A user assembled a 'personal Bloomberg + AI research team' by handing four open-source finance projects (122K+ combined GitHub stars) to Codex. These cover daily automated stock analysis/reports (daily_stock_analysis, with 15 strategies deployable via GitHub Actions), an open-source financial terminal with 37 AI agents and 100+ data connectors (FinceptTerminal), a quant backtesting/live-trading engine (Lean), and a value-investing skill set for Claude Code and Codex encoding Buffett/Munger/Duan/Li Lu methodologies (ai-berkshire). Codex ties them together via skills, code, and CLI into one flow from monitoring to research to backtesting.
@drsylvie_ai [Claude Code]
Claude Code#49
https://x.com/drsylvie_ai/status/2081178505400791297
A user who spends entire days driving Claude Code describes reaching a point around hour three where they are mechanically approving changes, and wishes for a physical 'accept all changes' button to save their wrist. What they actually want most is a physical dial for reasoning effort, to think hard sometimes and just format imports other times.
@aiedge_ [Claude Code]
Claude Code#50
https://x.com/aiedge_/status/2081182722949820557
Describes and gives setup steps for a /watch skill that lets Claude Code watch any video across YouTube, TikTok, or anything yt-dlp supports, plus local .mp4/.mov files. After installing via the claude-video plugin marketplace, you paste a video URL and run /watch with a question so Claude actually watches the video before answering, presented as a powerful non-coding capability many people do not know is possible.
@ClaudeCode_UT [Claude Code]
Claude Code#51
https://x.com/ClaudeCode_UT/status/2081212929027031068
Relays a developer's strong warning to immediately turn off Claude Code's auto-fallback. The concern: complex instructions crafted for Fable 5 get passed as-is to a fallback model like Opus 4.8, which is risky, and you can end up with a mismatch between the model you selected and the model actually running without noticing. The takeaway is to monitor which model is actually executing, not just which one you picked.
@Astronaut_1216 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#52
https://x.com/Astronaut_1216/status/2081255635597836722
A user praises Feishu/Lark for how top-university students use it to the extreme (experiment data processing with AI-analyzed fields, group-work tracking in multi-dimensional tables, literature and thesis knowledge bases) and notes that by installing the Lark CLI into Codex or Claude Code, the agent can autonomously carry out all of those tasks.
@gagarot200 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#53
https://x.com/gagarot200/status/2081239934418268624
A user describes a comfortable location-independent development setup: a dev environment on a Hetzner server with Claude Code and Codex pre-installed, connected via Termius SSH, logged in from a phone, with App Store/Google Play API and auth credentials configured. This lets them do app development, bug fixes, deploys, and agent instructions from a single phone while traveling.
@bi_9527zx [Claude Code]
Claude Code#54
https://x.com/bi_9527zx/status/2081245196126441772
A user migrated their entire AI-agent setup from Windows to a Mac mini via a USB drive (531 files) and shares how to move each framework. For CLI agents like Open Interpreter, Claude Code, and Codex CLI, you just copy the config directories (~/.claude, ~/.codex, etc.) and .env/API keys, pip install dependencies, and swap Windows backslash path separators for forward slashes. They emphasize most AI agents are essentially just text files plus a few API keys and can be moved freely.
@robiartec [Claude Code]
Claude Code#55
https://x.com/robiartec/status/2081441145125515358
Describes ECC (Everything Claude Code), the open-sourced Anthropic hackathon-winning setup that turns your IDE into a full dev team: 67 specialized agents (planner, architect, security reviewer, debugger), 277 on-demand skills, slash commands (/plan, /code-review, /quality-gate), AgentShield running 1,282 security tests over CLAUDE.md/MCP configs/hooks/skills, a red-team pipeline with three Opus 4.6 agents (Attacker, Defender, Auditor), an 'instincts' system for cross-session learning with confidence scores, and support for 12 language ecosystems, now also working in Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini, Zed, and Copilot.
@jerryjliu0 [Claude Code]
Claude Code#56
https://x.com/jerryjliu0/status/2081237580839039068
A user reflects on Anthropic's finding that they were over-constraining Claude Code and could delete many constraints, letting the model use surrounding context and judgment. They relate it to their own tendency to write extensive prompts covering every edge case, which they now find counterproductive because the model addresses the specific requests but stops surfacing new perspectives or 'unknown unknowns.' They add that Opus 5 has been a fantastic model that they consume heavily through Claude Code.
@nauczymycieAI [Claude Code]
Claude Code#57

A user shares their tested Claude Code model/reasoning-level strategy: Opus 5 low for fast daily work and as the default subagent, medium for harder tasks, high only when medium fails, and never xhigh/max or Sonnet 5. They back this with benchmark data (Vibe Code Bench where high scores 89.8% while xhigh/max drop and cost more; FrontierCode peaking at medium) and Anthropic's note about testers seeing over-deliberation and endless self-correction loops at higher thinking levels. They add Sonnet 5 burns absurd tokens per task.

A user highlights an honest self-evaluation in a Claude Code-built game project's README: 11 critic agents scored it 3.59 to 5.05 out of 10, it runs at 28-30fps with janky hands and mannequin-like enemies. Notably, a round run with 6 agents in parallel increased bugs (60 to 47 to 66), while a round where one owner fixed things sequentially raised the score by 1.00 and cut bugs to 26. They note parallel agents clobbering each other is the most common pitfall in their own runs, and what matters is cleanly separating ownership rather than how many agents you spawn.

A veteran who taught test-first development for 20 years describes abandoning that approach after working with Claude Code. In eight working days he built an 11,000-line TypeScript subsystem, then deleted the whole thing after 12 days because change was nearly free early on. A detailed reflection on how AI coding expanded the user's trust in agents for testing/QA and DevOps. An earlier attempt to have OpenClaw publish finished work to production went poorly and cost lots of cleanup time. After Fable's release they retried handing the full deploy-and-acceptance flow to the agent, were repeatedly impressed, and ultimately moved DevOps to the agent in an IaC style, letting it run and verify tests while they only review screenshots or conclusions.

The user built videos without a designer using Opus 5 with Claude Design and HyperFrames. Their flow: define their brand as a FRAME.md turned into 22 cards in Claude Design, throw a brief, get back an HTML project that Claude Code verifies and fixes, add narration (AivisSpeech) and BGM/SFX (media-use), then export to MP4 via HyperFrames. A key lesson: passing 7 colors as plain text produced a sparse first result, but giving it 'parts/components' produced something completely different.

The user showcases Opus 5 being very good at Blender and 3D inside Claude Code. Using the official Blender MCP plus a single prompt on xhigh (no subagents), it wrote Python scripts to do much of the asset/mesh generation; renders took roughly 45 minutes to an hour on CPU-only. They contrast this with trying the same on Claude 4.6 months earlier, which was nowhere near this level.

The user describes an $80 BC250 board running Bazzite desktop Linux and a local LLM on 16GB of GDDR6, which killed their $200 ChatGPT Pro and $200 Claude Max subscriptions for architecture queries. Firefox, Steam, and desktop apps run in parallel with the local inference worker while a neo4j graph query resolves against a monorepo dependency graph on the same board; the local LLM reads the graph directly instead of guessing which files matter. They cancelled Claude Code Max on Friday, ChatGPT Pro on Saturday, and by Monday the board served every prompt the old stack answered.

Describes '9Router,' a free repo that puts a chain of models behind the familiar Claude Code interface: Claude gets the task first, and if the quota runs out or a request fails, work automatically moves to the next model (Gemini, Kimi, GLM) without opening a new terminal or re-explaining the project. It supports 40+ providers and 100+ models, works with Codex/Cursor/Cline/Copilot/Antigravity, and includes command-output compression cutting input tokens 20-40%.

Rate limits are the wall everyone hits. @chesny realized they were paying not for answers but for Claude re-reading the whole codebase dozens of times, with the vast majority of tokens wasted; @jackjackatx had to checkpoint progress into memory and resume across three separate five-hour windows just to finish one build. The ask is simple: stop making autonomous multi-agent runs die at an arbitrary timer.

Persistent memory is the feature people are building themselves. @RoundtableSpace pointed Claude Code at a six-year Obsidian vault and let it run overnight linking orphaned ideas and surfacing contradictions. The recurring wish is for this to be native, not a weekend hack held together with cron jobs.

Silent model-swapping scares power users. @ClaudeCode_UT warns that auto-fallback can hand a prompt crafted for Fable 5 to a weaker model without telling you — people want to always know which model is actually executing, not just which one they picked.

Parallel agents still clobber each other. @tenobrus reports teams of ten-plus agents finally coordinate in the Fable 5 plus Opus 5 era, but only if you separate ownership cleanly; throw more agents at one file and the bug count goes up, not down.

The escape hatch is going local. @antisadh replaced a roughly $459-a-month subscription stack with an $80 board running a local model, and @browomo built a router that chains Gemini, Kimi, and GLM behind the Claude Code interface so a session never dies at the limit. When the cap hurts enough, users just leave the meter running elsewhere.

Codex — by far the most-paired tool; used as the review half of a write-and-review duo, for one-shot app localization, and as an interchangeable executor.
Obsidian — the default memory substrate; users point Claude Code at their vaults to build self-updating knowledge graphs and second brains.
Cursor — still the most common companion and comparison, often planning in Claude Code and executing in Cursor.
Grok Build — the fastest-rising alternative, with whole teams churning off Claude Code over its five-minute waits.
Hermes Agent — cited repeatedly as the strongest harness for tiny local models and persistent SQLite memory.
Kimi (K3 / Kimi Code) — the recurring harness-versus-harness benchmark opponent on identical prompts.
n8n — the automation runtime behind the "describe it in Slack, it builds the workflow" consulting setups.
Three.js — the go-to for the one-prompt 3D dioramas, helicopters, and coastline simulations people keep shipping.
