Cotality MCP Server: Real Estate Gets Its Universal AI Connector
The MCP ecosystem just expanded into one of the oldest and largest industries on earth. Cotality, the property data giant formerly known as CoreLogic, launched its MCP Server on April 1. This isn't a toy demo. It's a production-grade connector that lets any MCP-compatible AI agent tap into Cotality's property intelligence in real time, covering underwriting, valuation, risk analysis, and more.
Think about what this means. An AI agent handling a mortgage application can now pull exact property data, comparable sales, risk scores, and location intelligence through a single standardized protocol. No custom API integration, no data wrangling, no middleware. The agent asks, the MCP server answers, with data that covers virtually every residential property in the US.
Cotality also shipped AI-Ready Data alongside the server. Every dataset in their Property 360 portfolio now comes with companion YAML files following the Open Semantic Interchange standard. These act as translators, explaining to AI models what each data field actually means. This is a subtle but important detail. Raw property data is useless to an agent that doesn't understand that "AVM" means Automated Valuation Model or that "LTV" is loan-to-value ratio.
The property industry processes trillions of dollars in transactions annually. Having that entire data layer become agent-accessible through MCP is a significant infrastructure moment. This is what the shift from human-operated to agent-operated software looks like in practice, one industry at a time.
