BitBoard: Agent Analysis That Outlives the Chat

BitBoard, a YC P25 company, did its Launch HN today: an analytics workspace for agents. Your Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor agent does the data analysis it already does, but instead of the result dying in a chat thread, BitBoard stores the connections, the queries, and the code, and turns it into a live dashboard your team can open, share, and rerun.

The problem is one everybody who works with agents has felt. You ask an agent for an analysis, it writes beautiful SQL, produces a sharp answer, and three weeks later nobody can reproduce the number because the whole derivation lives in a conversation that scrolled away. Agent data work today is brilliant and disposable at the same time.

BitBoard's bet is to be the artifact layer: agents connect to your data sources directly or push results in, and everything stays traceable, you can see where a number came from and rerun the same logic on fresh data. Notice the direction of design. The BI incumbents spent two years bolting chat onto dashboards. BitBoard starts from the agent as the primary analyst and builds the persistence around it.

Small launch, 29 points on HN, but it sits exactly where coding agents went six months ago: first the agent does the work, then someone builds the system of record for the work. Code got git and CI for agents. Data analysis just got its first candidate.
