Roblox Studio Goes Agentic

April 16, Roblox revamped its Studio Assistant into a full agentic loop for game development. New Planning Mode reads your game's code and data model, asks clarifying questions, and turns your prompt into an editable action plan. Then it playtests, captures screenshots, parses logs, finds bugs, fixes them. Build a game from one prompt — that's the promise.

The interesting piece: Procedural Models. Editable 3D models generated through Assistant that understand spatial relationships. Tell it to put more shelves on a bookcase or extend the staircase, and it adjusts based on surrounding objects. This is generative 3D inside an actual production engine, not a research demo.

Roblox is going further: multi-agent coordination, long cloud-based workflows, and explicit interop with Claude, Cursor, and Codex. They're not competing with the coding agents — they're integrating them into a 3D-native runtime where 70 million daily users can ship.

This is what agentic AI looks like when it lands inside a platform with real distribution. Not a chatbot, not an IDE — a creator engine where the agent actually executes.
