Oracle AI Database 26ai Launches Private Agent Factory with MCP Support

Oracle has unveiled the Private Agent Factory as part of Oracle AI Database 26ai, positioning the database as the center of gravity for enterprise agentic AI. The announcement was made on March 24 with detailed analysis by SiliconANGLE on March 27.

The Private Agent Factory is a no-code canvas for building, deploying, and managing AI agents directly within the database. It connects MCP servers with data inputs from documents, databases, and users, supports configurable LLMs (private or cloud), and executes AI workflows in-database via Oracle Select AI. The platform introduces the Unified Memory Core β€” a stateful, persistent memory for AI agents within the database engine.

Oracle Deep Data Security provides identity-aware access control specifically designed for agentic AI, ensuring agents can only access data they are authorized to see. Agents can be deployed as portable containers, making them movable across environments.

This is a significant infrastructure play: Oracle is arguing that the future of enterprise AI won't be determined by agents alone, but by where and how they interact with data. With Futurum Group noting a $1.2 trillion addressable market, Oracle is betting that the database becomes the runtime for agent workloads.
