Agency Agents: 147 Specialized AI Agent Personas Hit 40K GitHub Stars

Agency Agents is an open-source collection of 147 specialized AI agent personas organized across 12 divisions, designed to turn any coding agent into a team of domain experts. Created by Michael Sitarzewski, the project exploded to over 10,000 GitHub stars in its first week and has since grown to nearly 40,000 stars.

Each agent is defined as a structured markdown file containing a complete role definition with personality, workflows, deliverable templates, and quality standards. When activated inside a coding agent, the AI adopts that agent's specialized persona — from frontend architects to security auditors, content strategists to DevOps engineers.

What makes Agency Agents significant for the agentic ecosystem is its broad multi-tool integration. The project ships with integration scripts for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Cursor, Aider, Windsurf, and Qwen Code — making it framework-agnostic and immediately usable across the most popular coding agents.

The project emerged from a Reddit thread and months of community iteration. Each agent is production-ready with battle-tested workflows, making it one of the first open-source "agent personality marketplaces" to gain significant traction.
