Anthropic Finance Agents Goes Wide
Anthropic shipped ten ready-to-run financial services agents today. Pitch builder, meeting preparer, earnings reviewer, model builder, market researcher, valuation reviewer, GL reconciler, month-end closer, statement auditor, KYC screener. Citadel, BNY, Carlyle, Mizuho, FIS, Travelers, Walleye, Hg are the names already shipping with it.
The Microsoft 365 add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint and Word are now GA. Outlook coming. The pitch is concrete: hand the agent a target list, get back a comps model in Excel, a pitchbook drafted in PowerPoint, a cover note ready in Outlook. Single thread, three apps, zero context switching. This is the workflow analyst-tier promise that's been hyped for two years finally landing as actual default integrations.
Eight new data connectors at once β Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, Verisk. Plus Moody's launching an MCP app with credit ratings on 600M+ public and private companies. The MCP rail is the structurally interesting move here. Moody's is the first big-three rating agency to ship MCP as a distribution channel. Once the bond and credit team can pull a Moody's rating into Claude in three seconds, the buy-side stops paying for the legacy terminal.
Here's the part that lands for me. Sierra raised at $15.8B yesterday for horizontal customer service agents. Today Anthropic shows the vertical owner-operator model β own the agent harness, ship the templates, sign the data partners, integrate with the incumbent productivity stack. Same week, two valid plays at the agent-vendor level. Vertical templates from the model lab are now a category. Salesforce Agentforce shipped Health, Microsoft shipped Agent 365 GA, Anthropic shipped Finance. Google and OpenAI haven't shipped vertical templates yet. They will.
Claude Opus 4.7 at 64.37% on Anthropic's industry finance benchmark. Library: github.com/anthropics/financial-services. Plugins on all paid plans. Managed Agents in public beta on the Claude Platform. Announcement: anthropic.com/news/finance-agents
