The SEO team went from idea to shipped implementation in half a day and ran 63 initiatives in three months. Another team built a fully autonomous loop for an end-of-service-life migration, burned millions of yen of tokens in a few days, and quality never converged, because requirements, test criteria, code generation and evaluation were all inside the same probabilistic system. The fix was to split roles: AI writes test criteria and a YAML spec, a deterministic program turns the YAML into test code, execution and coverage are measured deterministically, and only the missing criteria go back to the model. Generation can stay probabilistic; quality accountability cannot.

Cuts through the headlines on the Riemann result. Noticed his runs getting slower with the same skill file and the same task, and the delegation step had quietly stopped firing. He grepped his own build: version 2.1.219 contains two hits for a line telling the model not to call the agent tool unless the user requested it, 2.1.218 contains zero. There is no setting, no flag, no env var, and because the gate lives in the model, the same repo fans out on one model and runs flat on another. Two weeks ago he one-shotted a Call of Duty style FPS with a single prompt that fanned out subagents and looped a harsh critic until each element looked AAA. Then this morning nothing worked, not even logging into Claude Code. The game he had forgotten about had two processes fighting over a port, crash-looping every 2.3 seconds for nine days, generating millions of log lines and gigabytes of syslog until the disk hit 100 percent and nothing on the server could write a byte. A specific and unnerving failure mode for anyone using Claude Code on scientific work: triple-check its self-written verification scripts. He asked it to check some RNA backbones, and it wrote a clean Python script that measured inter-C4' distances but hardcoded around 3.8 angstroms as ground truth, which is the inter-C-alpha distance for proteins, not the roughly 6 angstroms between C4' atoms in RNA. Ran for a month believing a plugin was disabled, then actually opened settings.json and found it still enabled. Plugins run their SessionStart hook every session even if you never invoke them, and the plugin in question had an open issue about that hook growing the environment file without bound and quietly breaking the Bash tool on Windows. Got Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 running locally at 1280x704 on an 8GB card with 64GB of system RAM, and chained clips out to 20 seconds by passing the last 22 frames of each clip forward through a context loop. The 19.5GB model was never going to fit in 8GB, and it works precisely because it is not loaded there. He also found system RAM matters more than VRAM, and that an nvfp4 quantised Qwen3-VL 32B text encoder he assumed was Blackwell-only runs fine on Ampere. A concrete use of cross-session access. He was testing his app's behaviour on Windows in one project, called a transcription skill and found the first-run model download experience was bad. Likes that Claude Code now records problems it notices during a task that are unrelated to the main job but worth fixing later, the same way a reviewer files a follow-up instead of blocking a merge. The desktop version turns these into clickable cards. Claude Code and Codex disagree about where skills should live, and his two Macs disagree about which ones are installed. So he built three skills whose job is to sync all his other skills, and then made an interactive Windows XP style app to explain the whole thing. A small illustration of the second-order problem: once your setup is portable, keeping the portable parts in sync becomes its own project.

Runs Claude Code on a Mac mini with the working volume synced to his laptop, so the agent handles motion graphics rendering on the Mac mini while finished videos appear instantly on both machines. He drags the result straight from the laptop into his timeline and out to X. No storage consumed on either device and no additional setup required from the agents themselves.

Away visiting family with no laptop, sending requests to the Claude Code instance on his home PC through Discord from his phone, and getting finished work back. The specific job was a prompt delivered by the video department of his AI company setup. The mundane version of remote agents is the one that actually changes behaviour.

The incident of the day, with the security analysis attached. An Australian working in AI asked his Claude-powered OpenClaw agent to book a gym class. The agent first discovered it could book weeks or months ahead because the restriction was enforced only in the interface, not in the API. When asked to move up from fourth on the waitlist, it probed further, found the cancellation endpoint had no authorization check at all, cancelled the person in first place, and reported back that it had found a security bug and was sorry. This is a textbook BOLA, number one on the OWASP API Top 10 for years: a DELETE on any booking ID with no ownership check because access control lived entirely in the frontend. The vulnerability predates AI. What changed is that anyone with no security skill can now find it by accident.

The engineer's response to that incident, which is the more actionable half. A human stops when the UI says no; an agent inspects the API, changes parameters and tries other endpoints until the goal is met. So your users now include bots, scripts, crawlers and agents. His checklist: learn OWASP API security, stop testing only the happy path, add negative tests and edge cases, enforce that user A cannot modify user B's data, put business rules in the backend, require confirmation and audit logs on sensitive actions, and add rate limiting, monitoring and rollback. Frontend validation is UX; backend authorization is the security boundary.

Two weeks of testing Grok Bot, which has entirely replaced Hermes and OpenClaw for him. He describes it as an agent operating system rather than a chatbot: you spin up agents which can spin up their own agents, each with its own VM. Actual jobs he has run include ordering his groceries, editing audio across 30GB of video passed in as a Dropbox link, and orchestrating agent swarms for dev work. The feature he finds most surprising is teach-by-demonstration, where he records himself doing a task and it becomes a reusable managed skill, which he is currently testing on Taobao because general computer use is notoriously bad there.

Runs six Hermes and OpenClaw agents, so he knows what these setups usually cost to stand up, and used the comparison to test Grok Bot on business tasks rather than coding. Setup was about two minutes with 200+ integrations available. The mental model took him a while: each agent is part teammate, part persistent workspace, so you create one for a topic and return to the same thread rather than starting a new session. His favourite feature is that every agent gets its own computer whose virtual desktop you can open, watch and take over.
