Google Stitch 2.0: Vibe Design Tool with MCP Server for Coding Agents

Google has launched Stitch 2.0, a major update to its AI-powered UI design tool that introduces "vibe design" — a fundamentally new approach where you describe what you want users to feel, rather than starting with wireframes. The tool now features an infinite AI-native canvas, voice interaction, and direct editing capabilities.

The most significant addition for the agentic ecosystem is Stitch's new SDK and MCP server, which lets users connect it directly to coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. This bridges the gap between vibe design and vibe coding, allowing agents to pull design tokens, components, and prototypes programmatically.

Stitch 2.0's voice canvas lets an AI agent interview you about design goals, offer critiques, suggest alternatives, and make real-time updates as you speak. The tool generates production-ready UI in seconds and supports direct manual edits without re-prompting.

The update was announced on March 19, 2026, and is #1 on Product Hunt today with 233 upvotes. Figma stock fell on the news.
