Two demand shapes carried this window. The first is the filter that has quietly moved in front of every funnel: when a person asks a model to shortlist three options, the brand never gets its moment to be liked, and what survives is explicit claims, specs written in text and prices, while atmosphere dies. Almost nobody is building for that filter. The second is the word actually, which turned out to be the highest-precision signal in the whole feed β a reverse image search for clothes that actually works, a reframing tool that actually follows the speaker instead of center-cropping. Underneath both, the agent authority gap hit its tenth consecutive window, this time with an enterprise number attached: 74 percent of enterprises think they can catch an agent failure before production, 19 percent have a gate that blocks. And the most underrated vein stayed where it was last window, in the trades β deep-hole concrete dust and retail opening-cost calculators both came back from different people, which in this feed counts for more than any single high-scoring post.

A funder publicly offering capital for a category nobody has cracked: an alternative, individualized and holistic K-12 learning experience. His reasoning came out of a homeschooling argument about socialization, where his answer was that his kids will socialize on jiu jitsu mats and soccer fields and in settings that foster competition, collaboration and good values, while the average school, even the best private ones, push kids toward bad decisions through the social structures they create. His claim is that whoever cracks this makes billions and has a massive societal impact. The product shape implied is not another tutoring app but a full replacement for the school as a social and educational container.

The most genuinely novel gap of the window, and it has nothing to do with rankings. Every purchase has a stage where a person narrows the world down to three options, and that stage is where most brand marketing does its work: photography, tone, the feel of the site, the thing that makes somebody decide they like these people. That stage is starting to happen without a person in it. When somebody asks a model to find the best option for a specific need and budget, the shortlist is assembled before any human looks at anything, so the brand never gets its moment to be liked β it gets read, compared on stated facts, and either included or left out. What survives is unglamorous: explicit claims, specifications written in text, prices, comparisons you make yourself in sentences on your own site. What does not survive is atmosphere, because nothing assembling a shortlist is moved by a photograph. The product opportunity is tooling for the filter in front of the funnel, and almost nobody is building for it.

A vertical gap named by someone running an agency that is a top-decile AI user: it is clear that no one is building orchestration tools or agent harnesses specifically for marketing. His diagnosis of why is sharper than the gap itself β he keeps watching venture-backed startups raise money and focus on the wrong thing because the operators don't understand the marketing landscape. His own answer, Shadow, is built around three premises worth stealing: build the product around how the future marketing team should look, with agents and humans executing tasks together; innovate on the interface, since every commerce and marketing UI looks the same and nobody has done for it what Notion did for note-taking or Linear for coding; and deliver a superior harness, because teams will want fine-tuned models built for their use cases and optimized for cost, privacy and accuracy rather than one model for everything.

A hiring gap named with first-hand data, and the numbers make it a market rather than a complaint. The creative team bottleneck in 2025 was finding a good creative strategist; in 2026 it is finding good video editors, and it is impossible to find them at scale. His team reviews applications every single day and the quality is non-existent: a lot of editors have stolen videos from the internet and can't explain how they were made, and when you give them a test task you see the lack of attention to detail in 90 percent of applicants β misplaced captions, no coherence between visual and voiceover, slow pacing, bad transitions, spelling mistakes. Last week he fired an editor who had told a teammate she's a CEO with other editors completing her work. The gap he names is a high-quality video editing community or course that brands and agencies can hire from, which is really a vetted talent marketplace with a training funnel attached.

A service business whose product is literally the order of operations. A done-for-you ChatGPT Sites studio that takes a client call, turns it into a brief for GPT-6 Astra, and hands back a live site on the client's own domain β not another template marketplace, not another no-code course. Why now: Sites hosts what Astra builds right inside ChatGPT, with saved data, uploads, analytics and custom domains built in, and most small businesses will never learn the right order. The order is the product: brief with the word website, add the logo, colours and one reference URL, save a version because every deploy URL is live, refine and check at phone size, set access, then publish, then point the client's domain. The wedge is offering one launch page then selling the monthly refresh, because every change is a plain-words request and a new saved version, which keeps each update small enough to sell monthly. Who pays: local shops still on a Linktree, coaches with a portfolio in a Google Doc, agencies needing a private portal per client.

A gap in the market for an AI company that strictly respects privacy: your chats and data should be encrypted and unable to be utilised by the company. The mechanism that makes it a business rather than a stance is the opt-in β you could choose to let the company use your data in return for extra token limits. That turns privacy from a cost centre into a price tier, and it lands in the same window as a researcher buying six terabytes of leaked relay logs.

A design-tool gap named by someone stuck between products: it feels like no one is building a tool that is both canvas and agent focused. Paper does the canvas half but doesn't do interactive prototypes yet, and the other options are agent-focused without the canvas. A design-system gap stated precisely enough to build against. The override cost is the tell: what he wanted was one control height driving a whole batch of padding, and that is a semantic role. shadcn ships primitives and components with nothing in between, so extending never gets cheaper when the missing layer is the middle one. The product is a semantic-role layer between primitives and components, and it is the fourth window in a row where some version of an agent-era UI component library has come up.

Everyone is racing to give agents access, and almost nobody is building the memory those agents share. Payments are necessary but the missing layer is authorization: an agent needs to prove whose mandate it carries, what it may buy, and when consent expires. A gap that got closed the same day it was noticed, which is the cleanest kind of validation. Reading YC's Request for Startups, he hit a section claiming token intelligence costs fall 10x a year, went looking for a source that quantified it, and could find none. The clearest big-market idea from Reddit this window is TurboTax for Medicare. Someone turning 65 next June has to sign up for Social Security and Medicare and is overwhelmed, and asks whether anything exists that works the way tax software does, asking you questions and filling in your details to help you choose a plan. Her reasoning about why the existing channel fails is the product spec: brokers have already reached out, and she views them like financial advisors who are only interested in selling her whatever makes them the most money. An unbiased guided-questionnaire product in a market with a hard annual deadline, a captive demographic, and an incumbent channel the customer already distrusts.

A warranty tracker that solves the problem by attacking the input rather than the record-keeping. Every time something breaks in the house, a blender, headphones, whatever, there's no way to know if it's still under warranty: the receipt is lost, buried in an email somewhere, or the warranty length was never written down in the first place. What's wanted is snapping a photo of a receipt or the box, having it automatically figure out the product, purchase date and warranty length, then reminding you before it runs out so you don't miss a free repair or replacement. Note this is the same shape as the paper-mail idea that has now appeared three windows running: photograph the document, extract the deadline, remind before it costs you.

The paper-mail version itself, now with a much sharper spec than the drawer-of-documents framing it had two windows ago. Someone who has handled their parents' mail since they were nine keeps missing deadlines. The product: photograph a letter and it tells you the deadline, the amount, what happens if you miss it, and what to do next. Your parent gets a short version in their language that you can forward by text, reminders or calendar, and everyone gets reminders up to seven days in advance. The competitive analysis is the strong part β existing tools are mostly vaults or bill-pay apps solving a different problem, and none of them explain the letter to your parent or tell you what missing the deadline actually costs. It currently handles insurance, benefits and utility letters, with the parent version in English, Spanish and Chinese. Third consecutive window for this family.

An app that puts friction in front of the override rather than in front of the app. The complaint about Digital Wellbeing is precise: you can set a limit for an app, but when you reach it you can immediately extend or remove it. The problem isn't that you don't know you've used the app too much, it's the impulsive decision to give yourself just a few more minutes. The proposed flow is set a daily limit, pause access when it's reached, and when the user tries to extend, show a one-to-five-minute timer to interrupt the impulse, then offer a replacement activity the user chose in advance, then let them keep the limit or deliberately override it, with streaks and user-defined rewards for consistency. The stated goal is not to take control away but to create enough space for a deliberate decision. Second window for this idea in a different form.

A cluster of aquarium keywords all scored well together β tank log at opportunity 76, fish tank tracker at 76, planted tank tracker at 43 with difficulty of just 20, reef tank scheduler at 40 with basically zero saturation β and multiple related terms scoring well together is a stronger signal than any single keyword because it means distributed demand rather than a fluke. A review analysis across the top five competing apps, 326 reviews total, found every one of them has the same three complaints: data loss on crashes and updates, bait-and-switch pricing that's free until a low usage cap then subscription, and multi-tank users having to re-enter the same equipment and food for every tank separately. One competitor hasn't meaningfully updated in over a year despite people paying. A specific competitor's keyword profile also showed twelve terms they rank for but don't have in their title.

A Shopify split-fulfillment problem that is really a product gap, stated in enough detail to build against. A merchant splits physical inventory between two locations a block apart and wants split fulfillment to work internally while the customer sees only one combined shipping cost, but Shopify's own docs say customers will be able to select the shipping method for each shipment separately. Worse, the inventory behaviour contradicts itself: Shopify says a location oversells to make a split happen and can finish at negative inventory, while the split-shipping page says split shipping can't apply when a customer buys multiples of the same line item that can't come from one location. An RPA consulting business model question that is really asking whether a product category exists. He wants to be a tech consultant for small non-technical businesses automating one-off or occasionally repetitive tasks, and asks whether, if he paid the monthly for UiPath or Automation Anywhere, he could use that tool for his clients, or whether these tools live behind enterprise walled gardens. Nobody has built the multi-tenant small-business automation tool that a solo consultant can resell, and he's asking the question as a customer.

A brand-consistency tool for someone running social for a local gym, and the diagnosis is what makes it specific. Making a reel one day and a graphic the next means they end up looking like they came from completely different pages, because different tools are used for each. The ask is a tool that makes it easy to keep the same fonts, text style and overall look across different post types. Not a design tool and not a scheduler, but the brand layer between them.

A cross-device clipboard with no login, and the interaction design is the whole idea. He often wants to copy something, image or text, from his desktop and have it on his phone. The proposal is a web app where you paste anything and your phone picks it up via a mobile app, and because he hates logins the two get connected by scanning a QR code the way WhatsApp does. The friction being removed is account creation, not transfer.

An aisle-seat watcher for full flights. He buys United tickets at the last minute so seating is limited, and unless he can get an aisle seat he takes a different flight. Right now he randomly returns to the United app and checks, knowing one will eventually appear, so it's a matter of checking at the right time with luck. The ask is an app that alerts you when an aisle seat becomes available. A pure polling-and-alert product against a public data source, in the same family as the apartment tracker and the flight-guidance scoreboard.

An unlimited audiobook app for someone who gets a solid 45 hours of listening per week at work. Spotify has cut him off and he doesn't fancy the apps charging a small fortune just to listen. The usage number is the whole argument: at 45 hours a week, every credit-based and per-title model is structurally wrong for him, and nobody prices for that user.

A makeup inventory system for a self-described recovering hoarder, and the specifics are the spec. She discovered she has three eyeliners from the same brand in the exact same colour, and two Charlotte Tilbury lip liners she'd forgotten she owned. The question is how people keep track of what they actually own, and whether there's an app, a spreadsheet, or some system that prevents you from buying the same eyeliner three times. This is roughly the eleventh appearance of the collection-inventory family in this feed, after bags, candles, lipsticks, Warhammer paints, trading cards, CDs and TikTok saves.

A greeting-card archive, from the same family but with a distinct emotional mechanism. Everyone has a drawer, a shoebox or a folder they've moved four times and never opened, full of birthday cards and cards from people who aren't big on writing and cards from someone whose handwriting you don't see anymore; others just throw them away because they dislike keeping physical things. The product photographs a card and keeps the handwriting, who sent it and when it arrived, then reads the message aloud in a voice you know, either your own or one built from a recording, and brings birthdays and anniversaries back on your calendar every year with the card attached. The builder's own honest questions are the right ones: would you actually photograph your cards, or does that feel like a chore.

A discreet telehealth path to naltrexone, and it appeared twice in two subreddits on the same day, which in this feed is a strength signal rather than duplicate content. He drinks twelve White Claws a day, tried tapering and made it to six, can function without withdrawal, and lacks the willpower to stop alone. He wants to book a telehealth appointment and get a prescription without having to do labs, and specifically without paying monthly for coaching services. He's joining AA and just needs a way to get the medication. The gap is the unbundling: every existing service wraps the prescription in a subscription coaching product he doesn't want.

A Klipper log analysis tool for a specific diagnostic dead end. Running Creality K2 Plus machines and printing a large ABS part, he gets waves in the print after about 150mm of height. He's studied it enough to know it looks like thermal cycling of some sort, but the enclosure heat is PID controlled and very consistent, the heater is ducted so it doesn't blow on the part, and the cooling fan was set high enough that it shouldn't be coming on. So there's something else going on. What he wants is a tool that can plot all the outputs on a machine so he can see what is cycling during the print. Domain-specific observability for a machine that already logs everything.

A partial-image upscaler for a forensic use case that names why the general tools fail. He has a photo taken about ten years ago containing a certificate he no longer has, and there's a number on it he needs, but it's not legible from just zooming in. The ask is a tool that upscales parts of images so the certificate becomes legible. Not enhancement of the whole photo, which is what every consumer tool does, but region-targeted reconstruction against a known character set.

A duplicate-safe directory merge, which is the kind of problem that sounds trivial until you read the constraint. After a catastrophic RAID 0 failure and a professional recovery, his iTunes library came back with roughly 1,500 artist directories inside an iTunes Data folder and another 1,500 or so at root level, and not every directory in one is unique against the other: some artist names occur at both levels with a different set of albums under each. Moving everything up would overwrite the duplicated artists and lose albums. He could do it by hand and may have to, but wants a tool, app or UNIX function that solves it, with an explicit note that any answer starting with write a Python script is beyond his capabilities.

A C++ expression visualizer for teaching, with a concrete trigger. Helping someone over SMS with an expression of the form if (0 < x <= 2), he could mostly read cppreference and work it out, but that's well above the head of the person he's helping, and he ended up having to find a Stack Overflow answer. What he wants is to put an expression into a linkable page and have it visualized: parenthesized, or broken into subexpressions. He's explicit that he isn't asking for a debugger or assembly view β he wants a tool that shows how a naive non-optimizing compiler would logically process that statement, in what order. An AST renderer aimed at teaching rather than at compiler engineers.

A reverse image search powerful enough to find a social media post that may have zero engagement. The constraint is what makes it a different product from the ones that exist: general reverse image search is tuned for popular images, and this needs to find the copy nobody interacted with.

A morning-briefing alarm clock that reads your calendar. He wants an alarm that not only reads the weather and tells him whether to take an umbrella or wear a jacket and reads two local news items, the way Samsung's Bixby alarm does, but is also connected to his Google Calendar to go through all his events for the day, acting as a personal butler briefing him on his day. The gap is that the components all exist separately and nobody has assembled them into the first sixty seconds of the morning.

A minimal, uncluttered mobile email client. He loved the feel of Notion Mail as opposed to Gmail, but it never came to Android and was killed off on iOS and other platforms. So he's asking whether people would be interested in an email app with similar vibes on both platforms. A product that was validated, then withdrawn, leaving a demand with no supply, which is the cleanest possible starting condition.

A side-project lifecycle tracker, posted twice by the same person in one day, which is its own kind of conviction. We all start side projects, AI projects and open-source projects and leave them unfinished, so the idea is one place to track them: goals, tasks and milestones, progress and updates, project history, and a status field of building, stuck, paused, revived or completed. Public projects could be discovered by others who follow, give feedback or contribute, and over time your projects become a portfolio of what you actually built. The status vocabulary, especially stuck and revived, is the part no existing tool has.

A Chrome extension that puts a coloured highlight on anything detected as AI content. One line, but it lands in the same window as a subscription-that-removes-AI-content wish recorded earlier and a claim-provenance layer proposed below, which makes this the third distinct shape of the same underlying demand.

An evidence layer for the internet, which is the most ambitious idea of the window and the one with the most carefully stated limits. Instead of labelling something true or false, it would show where a claim originated, what evidence supports it, what credible evidence contradicts it, whether multiple articles are independently confirming it or merely repeating the same source, whether the original information has become outdated, and what remains genuinely unknown. For an article claiming a new study proves a supplement improves memory, it would reveal the original paper, the number and type of subjects, whether it involved humans or animals, whether it was peer-reviewed, who funded it, and whether the headline exaggerates the findings. The features that matter are claim extraction, source genealogy tracing repeated stories back to their origin, time awareness warning when information is outdated, and AI-answer auditing sentence by sentence. The author names the hard part himself: evaluating evidence always involves judgment, simplified confidence scores could create false certainty, and much of the best research is behind paywalls.

A brand-monitoring tool that bridges to doing rather than watching, from someone who used Peec for a few months. Two gripes keep coming back: he doesn't want to type prompts in manually, he just wants to be shown where his brand appears; and the data is there but turning it into change this page, publish there is all manual work. He looked at Profound, strong but enterprise pricing, and Otterly, nice monitoring but weak on execution. The most useful thing he found recently wasn't a tool at all, it was a published audit of 158 B2B articles tracking what ChatGPT and Perplexity actually cite, and the number that got him was that the same author and same content quality got roughly a 52 percent citation rate on a big industry platform versus 0 percent on the company's own blog. Which made him realize his problem isn't monitoring at all, it's distribution. His closing question is the product question: is there a tool that bridges monitoring and doing, or is the answer always dashboard plus a human who reads it.

A laundry-detergent ingredient comparison site, from someone with a skin reaction who noticed that Tide free-and-clear pods have different ingredients from the liquid and stopped breaking out after switching. She wants a website where she can compare ingredients. The mechanism is the interesting part: the reaction was to a formulation difference between two products sold under the same free-and-clear label, which no retail comparison surfaces.

Shopify came up as a source of gaps rather than a solution: split fulfillment, multi-location inventory and the contradiction between its own documentation pages.
Zillow, Redfin and Domu were named together as the aggregation problem in housing, the same shape as the flight-seat watcher and the ADS-B scoreboard.
Notion Mail was named twice as a product people validated and then lost, which is the cleanest starting condition for a competitor.
ChatGPT Sites and GPT-6 Astra appear as the platform underneath at least one fully-specified service business.
Digital Wellbeing and screen-time controls came up as the incumbent that fails on the override, not the limit.
