Offrun: One Mac Workspace for Claude Code, Codex and Grok Build, Free

Running four coding agents at once is normal now. Keeping them from stepping on each other is not. Offrun, a free Mac app that hit 72 points on Show HN Saturday, puts Claude Code, Codex, AGY and Grok Build in one workspace, with Pi and OpenCode listed as coming soon.

The design choices read like a list of pain points from people who actually do this. Each agent gets its own git worktree, so two agents on the same repo never collide. A second agent can peer-review the first one's diff before merge, running on accounts you already pay for. When one account hits its usage limit, Offrun switches to another account and keeps the conversation going. Project memory lives in plain text files: repo conventions, goals, and documented dead ends that every agent reads across sessions. Dictation runs fully on-device.

The business model is the interesting part. It's free, no seats, no credit card. You bring your own agent subscriptions. That makes Offrun a pure orchestration layer on top of other people's harnesses, which is exactly where value has been drifting all year. The "documented dead ends" file is the quietly smart feature: most agent memory tools store what worked, and the expensive mistakes are the ones agents repeat.

The account auto-switching will be the controversial bit. It is exactly the behavior providers' rate limits are designed to stop, so expect it to be the first feature to break.
