deckpipe Turns Any AI Agent Into a Slide Designer
Here's a problem nobody talks about: AI agents can write code, browse the web, manage your calendar, but ask one to make a presentation and you're back to doing it yourself. deckpipe fixes this by giving agents a proper MCP server for creating slide decks.
The workflow is simple. Your agent describes a deck as JSON. deckpipe handles layout, typography, theming, and hosting. 25+ layouts out of the box including title slides, bullet lists, stats, quotes, timelines, SWOT analyses, charts, galleries, and code blocks. Pick any Google Font, set an accent color, and the whole deck re-renders.
What makes it genuinely useful is the editing loop. Agents can PATCH individual slides with insert, delete, move, and replace operations. There's a comment system too, so you can leave feedback on any element and the agent can read and respond to it. Your agent searches Unsplash, drops photos into slides, handles attribution automatically.
Remote MCP server at /mcp for Claude.ai and Cursor, local install via npx deckpipe-mcp for Claude Code. Free to use. Built by Bjorn Schefzyk.
This is a small tool that fills a real gap. The moment agents can create presentations, a whole class of knowledge work becomes delegatable. That's the 100X thesis playing out one MCP server at a time.
