Blitzy Raises $200M at $1.4B for Thousands-of-Agents-in-Parallel Coding
Blitzy closed $200M at a $1.4B valuation. Northzone led, with PSG, Battery, Jump Capital, and existing backers NFX, Link, Flybridge tagging along. CEO Brian Elliott β ex-Wove founder, ex-Army Ranger β and Sid Pardeshi (Nvidia alum) started the company in 2023. The pitch is clean: deploy thousands of coding agents in parallel and autonomously complete months of enterprise software work.
The receipt that matters is the SWE-Bench Pro number: 66.5%, claimed as a record, ahead of the latest from "other major incumbents." Compare to where the field was twelve months ago and you can see why Northzone wrote a check this size. Already deployed across dozens of Global 2000 enterprises with claimed 5x velocity gains.
Read this against Sierra ($950M Series E at $15B, May 4) and CopilotKit ($27M Series A, May 5). Three different layers of the agent stack got priced this week. Sierra owns horizontal customer service. CopilotKit owns the in-app agent UI. Blitzy now owns autonomous enterprise software development. The autonomous-coding category previously had Cognition (Devin) at $9.8B as the lone unicorn. Blitzy at $1.4B is the second.
The parallel-thousands-of-agents architectural choice is the part to watch. Cursor, Codex, Claude Code all sit in single-pilot mode. Blitzy is the bet that long-horizon enterprise codework requires fan-out and orchestration, not better single-agent context. If they keep the SWE-Bench Pro lead through the next benchmark refresh, the architectural bet gets validated and the multi-agent coding tier has its anchor.
