Pluto Security Raises $34M Series A to find the agents your finance team vibe-coded

Pluto Security came out of stealth on October 13 with $42 million raised across two rounds: an $8.5 million seed led by TLV Partners with the founders of Armis investing, and a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital with Skinos, Shlomo Kramer's firm, Ansa Capital and angels participating. Valuation was not disclosed. The company only started selling in April and says it is past $2 million in annual recurring revenue with more than 30 enterprise customers including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt and AlphaSense.

The product gives security teams context, risk analysis, visibility and control over how employees use AI tools, connectors and agents. The numbers CEO Shahar Bahat gave TechCrunch are the reason to care. A newly announced AI tool can show up inside a company's environment within two hours of its release. About 60 percent of the risks Pluto detects across its customer base are in tools vibe-coded by non-developers, and the ranking is finance first, then marketing, then legal, with developers fourth. The example was a finance employee at a Fortune 500 company who built an app to manage customer information and churn and left it exposed to the internet. Bahat says there has not been a single proof of concept where Pluto went in and found nothing.

Two weeks ago Satya Nadella told enterprises to assume every model is compromised and install an emergency brake. Pluto is selling the inventory you need before a brake means anything: you cannot stop agents you did not know existed, and the ones built by the finance department do not show up in the engineering org chart. This is also a funding-thread datapoint. The drought that ran through most of September has now broken four runs in a row, and three of the four were agent-governance or agent-security companies rather than agent builders.
