Plaud, the AI recorder company, announced Plaud One, $249.99 earbuds whose charging case contains an eSIM with free cellular service in over 80 countries. The point of the SIM is not calls. It is that you can talk to Plaud's AI agents from the case, with no phone or laptop anywhere nearby. Preorders opened yesterday, shipping in Q4.
The hardware is built around capture. The earbuds record, the ring-box-sized case picks up voices within five meters, and together they log up to 25 hours of conversation per charge. Then the agent layer takes over: transcripts feed agents connected to Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, which draft the follow-up email, build the document, update the notes. The pitch is that the meeting does not end with a recording, it ends with the work the meeting created, already done. A $200 AI credit bundle comes in the box.
