Today's gaps cluster around personal data you already own but cannot use: health metrics trapped across devices when the ER needs them, bookmarks that fail at the moment of retrieval, and wearable-era knowledge workflows that die at handoff. On the AI side, demand keeps shifting from single agents to the connective tissue: shared state across coding assistants, team-usable enterprise agents, and cost-arbitrage tooling built on cheap Chinese models.

A user who made two ER trips recently had to repeat the same medical story to every provider, because the context that matters β resting heart rate, HRV, SpO2, sleep and skin-temperature trends from wearables, blood work, DXA scans, supplement lists, symptom logs, travel history β lives outside the EHR. They want a way to share an organized, contextualized health report in emergencies and at scheduled appointments, ideally via Apple Medical ID, a scannable tag, or a share-access list for emergency contacts. A wearable-data-to-clinical-report layer is increasingly buildable and the demand side is writing the spec unprompted.

A retrieval-first bookmark manager remains unbuilt. A designer with 25 years of experience, 4,200+ Chrome bookmarks, an abandoned Notion database and 340 unread read-later articles spent 22 minutes failing to re-find a CSS technique he had saved and tagged days earlier β then just re-Googled it. He has cycled through Notion, Obsidian, Raindrop and Pocket and describes the same arc every time: excitement, discipline, abandonment. His diagnosis is precise: every tool optimizes for capture and collapses at retrieval under time pressure. The product is zero-maintenance capture plus semantic recall that wins the moment you half-remember something. The thread drew dozens of sympathetic comments.

A cross-agent shared-state layer for multi-tool AI development. A builder running Claude, Gemini CLI, ChatGPT and Copilot across real projects describes constant drift: agents misalign on the codebase despite governance docs, fresh-chat handovers and manual copy-pasting of context between tools, and image models keep changing asset style despite reworked prompts. He explicitly asks how to audit and realign agent state. As multi-agent vibe coding becomes the norm, a source-of-truth handover layer that keeps every assistant aligned is a real, recurring pain β today it is solved by clipboard.

An enterprise-shaped hole in the single-player agent boom. Commenting on a popular agent product, a user notes it is an awesome single-player agent but unclear as a shared team agent for enterprises in its current form β and argues that whoever builds the format usable by non-technical team members goes "well beyond $100B." The gap between personal agent workflows and durable, shared, permissioned team agents keeps being named by users, not vendors.

A code editor built natively on cheap Chinese models. The ask is direct: someone should build a Cursor/Claude Code competitor powered by Kimi K3 and DeepSeek, which are up to 100x cheaper. With quota complaints dominating power-user discourse, a cost-first editor that treats cheap open-weight models as the primary backend rather than a fallback has an obvious wedge.

A maintainable jargon lexicon for LLM output style. A Claude Code user built a personalized output style to cut verbosity and jargon, but it depends on hardcoding banned words, which breaks as new jargon appears. He wishes for a maintainable dictionary of allowed and banned vocabulary separate from the prompt. A shareable style-enforcement layer β allow/deny lexicons applied as post-process or dynamic prompt component β would serve everyone tuning model voice for professional writing.

A way to run the 2010-2014 golden era of mobile apps. A veteran designer (ex-Flipboard) laments there is no easy way for the current generation to run Rdio, Path, Clear, Tweetbot, Mailbox or Paper and study how modern interaction design came to be. An emulation-plus-archive product for dead mobile software β a playable design museum β has clear education value and a passionate niche that includes every design team lead who lived through that era.

Meal delivery with clean ingredients at a sane price. A fitness follower calls out that nearly all commercial meal delivery is "so stupid": either random taste enhancers and mystery ingredients, or premium pricing far beyond $15-20 a meal. The specific spec β quality ingredients, no additive junk, $15-20 per meal β is a demand statement the current DTC meal market keeps failing.

A third-party F1 fantasy app. An F1 fan wants what FPL third-party apps did for fantasy football: the official F1 fantasy app is cluttered and "just sucks." Motorsport fandom is growing fast and fantasy tooling is a proven engagement wedge that F1's official product is fumbling.

A screener.in equivalent for US stocks. An Indian retail investor asks for an app like screener β the beloved Indian fundamentals screener β but for US equities. As Indian retail money flows into US stocks, the tooling gap between Indian-market and US-market research products for this audience is a concrete localization opportunity.

A live-concert streaming service. The question is simply why there is no Netflix-for-live-concerts. Rights are hard, which is exactly why the gap persists β but demand keeps resurfacing, and the creator-economy infrastructure for smaller acts to stream ticketed shows is much more buildable than a big-catalog play.

A founders-to-influencers marketplace on revenue share. An app builder argues the best-ROI marketing is influencer distribution paid in rev share rather than cash, and someone should build the platform that matches app founders with influencers on those terms. Aligning creator incentives with app revenue is a plausible wedge against flat-fee influencer marketplaces.

Proper urban GDP data as a product. A data-minded user proposes building city-level GDP series from hard public signals β transit authority data, airport and railway traffic, bus counts, EPF payrolls, bank branch counts, SEZ/STPI presence, electricity, port volume β instead of allocating district shares by population. Niche, but subnational economic data is chronically bad in emerging markets and hedge funds, developers and policy shops all pay for alternatives.

Undo/redo for the phone keyboard. A simple, universal annoyance: type something detailed, accidentally clear it, and there is no ctrl+Z on mobile. Third-party keyboards are a viable distribution vehicle for exactly this kind of micro-utility, and the post's framing β "Programmers and Developers, over to you" β is literally a request for startup.

Recurring names in today's gap conversation (3+ mentions): Claude Code and Codex (as the default AI-builder substrate people want alternatives to), Kimi K3 / DeepSeek (as the cheap-model wedge), Notion / Obsidian / Raindrop / Pocket (the capture-not-retrieval graveyard), and Strava (almost entirely auto-posts β excluded from analysis). GenLayer "missing layer" posts remain coordinated astroturf and were excluded.
