Twenty 2.0 is the first open-source CRM with a native MCP server

Twenty 2.0 hit Product Hunt April 21 (266 upvotes, #2 of the day). The pitch: "Build your Enterprise CRM at AI Speed." It is the open-source Salesforce alternative that already has 44.8K stars on GitHub, but the 2.0 framing is the agent-native rewrite — every cloud workspace ships with a native MCP server, OAuth-connected to Claude / ChatGPT / Cursor, with read/write access to CRM data in natural language.

The Apps framework is the deeper bet: TypeScript-deployable AI skills and agents that live inside your CRM workspace. So the whole product turns into a building block for vertical agents — your sales agent, your renewal agent, your churn agent, all running against the same data layer with the same governance. That is a different product than "ChatGPT can read my Salesforce" — it is "every agent in my company shares one CRM source of truth."

Most enterprise CRM is still stuck on the chatbot-as-bolt-on model. Twenty is the first credible open-source player betting on agents-as-first-class-citizens, and they are doing it from a base of real adoption. The repo is one of the most-starred CRM projects on GitHub for a reason.

Site at twenty.com, GitHub at github.com/twentyhq/twenty. AGPL on the open-source core, commercial cloud for the workspace. If you are picking your CRM stack with agents in mind, this is now the open-source default.
