Ideas Radar: 2026-03-30
A thin day for product ideas on Twitter and Reddit. The AI hype cycle is absorbing most "build" energy, so the gap-spotting conversations are quieter. But the few that surfaced point to real needs: AI agent governance, observability tooling for first deploys, and a surprising demand for sun simulation tools.

AI agent governance is the unsolved enterprise problem. Organizations are deploying agents with credentials and execution power, but the governance model does not exist. "Who approved this agent to exist?" is a question most orgs have not asked yet. The shift from script-with-credentials to certified-agent requires behavioral provenance, not just access logs. Every agent needs an identity, an approval chain, and behavioral auditing before it touches production.

Deploy visibility tooling should come before the first container runs. A developer who shipped multiple projects learned the hard way: "I wasted real time being blind on production before building the observability pipeline." The insight is that CLI and observability setup should be part of project scaffolding, not an afterthought. There is a gap for a tool that bundles deploy pipeline and production visibility into a single first-deploy command.

Sun position and shadow simulation for any location and time. A Reddit user is looking for a tool that lets you set day, time, and location to see exactly where shadows fall from mountains and buildings. Useful for photographers, real estate developers, solar panel installers, and architects. Google Earth does some of this, but a dedicated, precise tool with temporal controls is missing from the market.

A wearable that vibrates on timed intervals for screen break reminders. Simple concept: a device that buzzes every N minutes to remind you to look away from your screen. Existing smartwatches can do this, but the user wants something stripped down, no screen, no notifications, just a vibration motor on a timer. The appeal is in what it does not do. Pomodoro timer hardware that cannot distract you.
