Athena wants to be Claude Code for product teams
Athena launched on Product Hunt today pitching itself as the product workspace with a living product brain. AI subagents map your product's architecture, data flows, decisions, edge cases, and keep the map updated as the product evolves.
The team is Maya Elor, Ben Lang, Tal Elor. The thesis: PMs are still the integration point between business and engineering, and they spend half their day reconstructing context that should just live somewhere. Athena automates that reconstruction and lets subagents answer questions like 'what breaks if we change this' or 'what data do we actually have on this feature'.
Verticalized coding agents are a thing β Plain for Django, LangAlpha for finance. Athena is the same bet for product management. The risk is PMs are picky and their workflows are fuzzy. The upside is if it works, you replace a hundred Notion docs and a dozen Loom videos with a queryable brain.
