Impeccable: 61 Rules That Catch AI-Generated Frontend Design

You can spot AI-built frontends from across the room: Inter everywhere, a purple-to-blue gradient, cards nested inside cards, gray text on colored backgrounds, and a rounded-square icon tile above every heading. Impeccable is a skill that teaches coding agents to stop doing that. It added 602 GitHub stars today, and it now has about 73,600 in total.

It started from Anthropic's frontend-design skill and went much further. It installs as one skill, /impeccable, with 24 commands that give you and the agent a shared design vocabulary: craft, shape, critique, audit, polish, distill, bolder, quieter, typeset, layout, harden, and more. You start with /impeccable init. It inspects the project, asks only about real gaps, and writes a PRODUCT.md with durable product facts: audience, purpose, constraints, voice. Visual direction is kept separate, in a DESIGN.md. Keeping "who is this for" apart from "what color is the button" is the smartest decision in the repo. Most design prompts blur the two, so the agent restyles the brand every time it touches a page.

The part that sets it apart is 61 deterministic detector rules. The CLI and a browser extension run them with no LLM and no API key, so you get a linter for AI design tells that costs nothing per run. LLM-only critique checks sit on top for the judgment calls. That split, deterministic checks where possible and model judgment where not, is the same pattern that keeps winning in agent tooling.

It is not new: the repo dates to November 2025. But it shipped skill v4.4.0 and two engine releases in the last 24 hours, and it is trending hard again. If your agent writes UI, this is the cheapest upgrade you can make this week. Quick start: npx impeccable install, then /impeccable init in your coding tool.
