discli: Discord CLI That Gives AI Agents Full Discord Access from the Terminal

discli is a Discord CLI tool launched on Product Hunt that gives AI agents a Discord account and lets them send messages, react, manage threads, and moderate — all from the terminal.

The tool is built with permission profiles, audit logging, and rate limiting so agents cannot go rogue. Each agent gets scoped permissions defining exactly what actions it can take, and all operations are logged for review. It also works for humans who want to script and automate Discord without a GUI.

Discord is one of the most important communication platforms for developer communities, open-source projects, and increasingly for AI agent coordination. A CLI interface for Discord means coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI can now interact with Discord channels as part of their workflows — reading context, posting updates, or coordinating with other agents.

This fits the broader pattern of making existing platforms agent-operable: giving AI agents programmatic access to services that were originally designed for human interaction through web UIs.
