AgentCard: Give Your AI Agent a Debit Card
AI agents can now browse the web, write code, manage files, and schedule meetings. But when they need to actually pay for something? They hit a wall. AgentCard fixes this with a simple idea: one-time-use virtual Visa debit cards that AI agents can create and spend.
The model is designed around paranoia, which is exactly right. Every card is scoped β you set a spending limit, and the card self-destructs after one use. Unused cards expire after 7 days with automatic refunds. Human approval required for every card creation. No pre-funding needed; charges only happen when cards are used.
Three access methods: CLI for manual creation, MCP integration so agents can generate cards within defined parameters, and a Chrome extension for checkout pages. This means your Claude Code or Cursor agent can autonomously buy an API key, a domain name, or a cloud resource β within limits you set.
Pricing is refreshingly simple. Free tier gives you 5 cards per month up to $50 each. $15/month gets you 15 cards up to $500 each. Enterprise gets API access with full KYC compliance.
This is infrastructure that had to exist. Visa just launched their Intelligent Commerce Connect platform for AI agent payments. Mastercard has Agent Pay. The payment rails are being built. AgentCard is the startup-speed answer: scoped, disposable cards that let agents transact without giving them your real payment info.
