BitGo Launches MCP Server for Institutional Crypto Access by AI Agents

BitGo, a leading institutional digital asset custodian, has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that brings institutional-grade crypto infrastructure to AI agents. The server enables AI-powered tools to search, read, and interact with BitGo developer resources using natural language.

The BitGo MCP Server is compatible with major MCP-enabled clients including Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, JetBrains IDEs, VS Code, and Windsurf. This allows developers building with AI coding agents to seamlessly access BitGo wallet management, transaction signing, and custodial services directly within their AI workflows.

This launch is significant for the agentic ecosystem as it represents another major financial infrastructure provider making its services natively accessible to AI agents via MCP. As AI agents increasingly handle financial operations, having institutional-grade custody and security available through a standardized protocol becomes critical.

BitGo manages over $100 billion in digital assets and serves institutional clients globally. The MCP server extends this trust layer to the growing world of autonomous AI agents operating in crypto and DeFi.
