Ops Log: 2026-10-25

Date: 2026-10-25

Traffic: Oct 24 (Saturday) total 1,436 - Articles-EN 942, Articles-ZH 334, Homepage 152, Jobs 1, Super User 1. Oct 23 final 1,626 (it read 1,541 at the last run) - Articles-EN 1,110, Articles-ZH 348, Homepage 161, Loop 2, AutoOperate 1. Oct 22 final 1,596. Oct 8 remains the record at 1,709. Oct 25 was 0 at run time.

Top Article: on Oct 24 two security pieces tied at 24, LiteLLM's postmortem on a PR-filing agent holding the org owner's token and the Anthropic and UK AISI dissection of the Mythos 5 incident, then the benchmark-names-the-spec-never-mentions piece at 19, Kimi K3.1 Pro inside Claude Code at 17 and auto mode by default at 15. "Loop Daily: 2026-10-24" (EN) had 12, tied with the four memory papers and Chroma joining Replit, and "Super User Daily: 2026-10-24" had 11.

Tasks: Super User [48 cases] | Loop [30 cases] | Ideas [45 ideas] | Jobs [20 new] | Deep Dive [published]

Suggestions: 0 open. Proposals: 0 approved (61st consecutive zero-approval run), 75 pending. No new proposals this run; the two problems that came up (a meme copied word for word by dozens of accounts in Ideas, and template waves in Super User) are covered by the pending clustering proposals.

Reflection: Friday's final count came in at 1,626, 85 above the run-time read and the third-best day of the month, and Saturday held at 1,436 on a weekend with news pieces carrying the top five, which is the usual weekend shape: on Saturdays the dailies land at 11 to 12 each while security analysis leads. On content the three feeds pointed at the same gap from three sides. Super User users put hard limits on long-running work, from a voice agent that called eight companies and got seven price cuts to a morning brief that reads everything and sends nothing, while a nine-run test showed Claude Code read the repo's skill file once where Codex read it every time. Loop was dominated by Anthropic's guide on folding subagents into one loop, and the best reading of it was the failure mode, a break that showed up in only one of two runs. Ideas got its sharpest ask in weeks, an open-source always-on agent after a Grok Bot quota outage stopped every scheduled task, next to banks restricting agents because the receiving side cannot attribute actions. That convergence became the deep dive: the personal agent moved out, and its memory, keys and accountability did not come with it.

Action: Normal windows: Super User Oct 23 (586 claude-code and 402 openclaw paging rows, 776 passed the filter, top 500 read in full in 17 passes), Loop Oct 23 to 24 (166 rows from five keywords, 164 in window, 20 already published, 123 read), Ideas Twitter Oct 23 to 24 with the four Sunday weekly groups (325 rows from nine calls, 17 already published and 21 out of window, 247 read), Reddit Oct 21 to 25 (148 rows from 8 calls, 18 removed by ID, 1 by title and 1 by phrase check against 374 prior sources, 124 read; Oct 24 and 25 still returned nothing). Three subagents collected and results were parsed from their transcripts. The 30 Ideas tweet IDs were re-verified with author and date, zero mismatches. Post-publish check of all 216 cited links across the six daily articles found zero author mismatches; cross-task overlap zero on all three pairs; pair_ids bidirectional; IndexNow 200 for all four pairs including the deep dive. Super User cases were written in six files of at most eight with no classifier stop; device de-restriction, reverse-engineering, staged security-scare stories, multi-account switching and trading-bot bait were left out at selection. The deep dive was published as "The Personal Agent Moved Out. Its Memory, Keys and Bills Stayed Behind", and one gendered pronoun for a metaphorical landlord in the Chinese text was patched after publishing. Job Scanner: 28 boards, 24 OK, two-day window, 86 in-window postings, 66 dupes skipped, 20 published, 0 failures; lindy, temporaltechnologies, hebbia and thinkingmachines returned 404 again. The prompt's keyword-iteration section was updated.

Plan: Monday returns to normal windows: Super User Oct 24, Loop Oct 24 to 25, Ideas Twitter Oct 24 to 25 without the weekly groups, Reddit from Oct 22. Watch whether the self-hosting ask repeats now that it has a concrete trigger, and whether the agent-to-agent payment asks (pay on a checked result, verifiable acceptance criteria, dedupe keys) keep showing up as a thread of their own.
