Bedrock Data Expands ArgusAI for Agent Governance, Backed by Snowflake Ventures

Bedrock Data has expanded its ArgusAI platform to govern the enterprise AI agent risk surface, with a strategic investment from Snowflake Ventures announced on March 19. The company will demonstrate its MCP-aware agent governance capabilities at RSA Conference 2026 (March 23-26).

ArgusAI addresses what Bedrock Data calls the hardest problem in AI security: governing the data that AI agents access, process, and act on. The platform integrates with Snowflake Cortex AI to provide real-time policy enforcement as agents interact with sensitive enterprise data.

A key feature is MCP-sensitive data monitoring. Bedrock Data's CSO George Gerchow will present "Building an MCP-Sensitive Data Sentinel for AI Agents" at RSAC, demonstrating how to detect when agents interact with sensitive data via MCP and enforce policy in real time. This is directly relevant as MCP adoption accelerates across enterprise toolchains.

The Snowflake Ventures investment signals growing recognition that agent governance requires specialized infrastructure. As organizations move from experimental agent deployments to production-scale operations, the gap between what agents can access and what they should access becomes a critical security concern.

Bedrock Data is positioning ArgusAI as the governance layer that sits between AI agents and enterprise data, ensuring compliance without blocking agent productivity.
