OpenBox AI Raises $5M to Be the Audit Trail for Every Agent Action

Here is the problem nobody wants to talk about. Companies are deploying AI agents across logistics, healthcare, media, and finance. Those agents make decisions, call tools, spend money, and move data. And right now almost nobody can prove what any of those agents actually did or why.

OpenBox AI launched yesterday with $5M in seed funding from Tykhe Ventures to fix exactly this. The platform provides runtime governance for AI agents, meaning it watches what agents do in real time and cryptographically attests to every action. Not logs that can be edited after the fact. Cryptographic proof that stands up to regulators and auditors.

The founding team is unusually well-matched for this problem. Tahir Mahmood was a Technical Lead for Operating Systems at Microsoft with 40 plus patents. Asim Ahmad spent 15 years in investment and strategy including a stint at BlackRock. One knows how systems work at the kernel level, the other knows what compliance actually requires. That combination matters when you are building trust infrastructure.

OpenBox integrates with Temporal, n8n, Mastra, LangChain, AWS, and Cursor without architectural changes. All features are available from day one with no usage limits. They are already serving billion-dollar enterprises and were selected for the Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab London 2026.

The timing is not accidental. The Trump Administration published its National AI Legislative Framework on March 20 and the EU AI Act is now being enforced. Agent governance is no longer optional. It is becoming law.
