Airbyte Agents wants to be the missing context layer

Airbyte just shipped Agents, and the pitch is sharper than the usual MCP server hype. Most agent products fail not on reasoning but on the moment they have to reach into Salesforce + Stripe + Zendesk + Hubspot at runtime, hit forty different auth flows, and reconcile that Acme Inc in Salesforce equals acme.com in Stripe. The Context Store solves that off the agent's hot path. 50+ pre-built connectors, replication infra that 20% of the Fortune 500 already trusts in production, agents talk to a unified queryable layer instead of doing tool calls all night.

The numbers they quote are 40% fewer tool calls and up to 80% fewer tokens. Three ways in: MCP server, Agent SDK, no-code Agents UI. Free tier for everyone, three months of Team tier free if you're already an Airbyte customer.

This is the bet Airbyte made when the data-replication market started feeling mature. Same plumbing that loaded warehouses for years, repointed at agent runtime. Cleanest answer yet to the why-do-my-agents-keep-getting-customer-records-wrong problem. If MCP is the connector standard, the context store is the part the standard skipped over.
